It was the first time dinner in the restaurant, and our company had the WeiYa feast at the end of the lunar new year. The day was 8th January 2021, a chilling night in Taipei. We chose the restaurant because of the information from Bloggers on the website. But most of our colleagues feel the quality does not equal the value. First, I don't think the beef quality is the Kuroge wagyu because the sweetness and smell do not match what I ate on Kobe in Japan. The restaurant supply five recipe types of beef that include a steak、 beef by steam、beef soup、beef noodle、roast beef. The steak only fifty grams, but the beef doesn't have a strong beef smell and only a few sweetness. The most fail of beef was the beef by steam, only taste in astringent. It's the joke for the beef soup because of only a thin slice of beef in it. I didn't eat the beef noodle, so I don't have any comment on it. The roast beef actually doesn't any smell when I taste it. But add some roast garlic and sea salt will make it pretty good. I want to explain why I focus on the taste of beef. Because the hotel's owner is the same famous enterprise to import beef on the Taiwan market. Second, let's talk about the seafood supply by the restaurant. They supply five kinds of slices of raw fish and one kind of raw shrimp. I tasted three kinds of slices of raw fish includes salmon、sea carp、herring. The worst raw fish is the salmon because of unfresh and too soft and cutting too slim. The raw shrimp is Argentine red shrimp, and it tastes the sweetness and fresh without any fishy smell. I recommend to you that the Argentine red shrimp is the best fresh raw food in the restaurant. Other cooked seafood pretty good includes the white shrimps、Haliotis diversicolor、crabs. Overall, in this restaurant that the kinds of seafood better than the kinds of beef. Other kinds of food include some fried meats、 Indian naan、kinds of curry、vegetables. The Indian naan is not made it immediately, so it doesn't crisp taste. The salad bar supplies three kinds of fresh fruit juice、kinds of lettuce、kinds of fruit, and it seems abundant. The dessert bar supplies many kinds of cake、ice cream、soft drinks. I feel that attendants train well on the service. In the final, I want to say that if the beef not the best food in the restaurant I don't think I will not come to the...
Read moreI visited this buffet a few months ago and was very impressed—it was the best buffet experience I’ve had in a long time, with a wide variety of quality items like scallops, lamb, and oysters. I was so impressed that I recommended it to my family for a gathering, but our second visit was a huge disappointment.
During our recent visit, none of the premium items that I enjoyed before were available. Instead, there were only cheap and common dishes (pork chop, shrimp, etc.). The restaurant was also hosting a wedding ceremony that day, and to our surprise, the wedding guests were dining with regular customers, which made the place extremely crowded. This change in atmosphere, combined with the subpar food selection, made the experience feel very cheap, especially considering the high price of over $2,000 per person.
It felt like the restaurant lowered the quality of the food that day, possibly to cut costs due to the wedding. If the restaurant wants to maintain its reputation as a high-end buffet, it should ensure that private events do not impact the experience of regular diners. Paying such a high price for what felt like an average dining environment with low-quality ingredients was disappointing. I hope they reconsider their approach to handling events in the future and better respect the experience of their regular customers.
Side Note: Many people rave about their beef noodle, so I decided to give it a try since I couldn’t find anything worth eating during my second visit. Unfortunately, it was the worst beef noodle I’ve ever had. The texture was awful due to overcooking—the noodles were mushy, stuck together, and completely unappetizing. It could have been a better experience if the restaurant paid more attention to how they...
Read moreA.Y.C.E!!! of LOBSTERS, ABALONE, scallops, crabs, king crab legs, sashimi, pork knuckle, roast beef…!!!!!!!
My new favorite ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET in Taipei (Neihu) Plethora of seafood galore! I don’t usually eat seafood. I have gout and those are kinda tasteless. But this buffet had it super seasoned 😍. I loved it!!! The pork knuckle is to die for!!! Crispy crunchy pork skin on the outside and tender juicy and gooey on the inside! Even Better than most restaurants pork knuckle🤭!!!!
I went when it first opened and didn’t like it that much. This time, the chef must have changed. It is soooooooooooooo good!!!!! They also have a tiny Thai section with Thai boiled fish!
Another thing I loved about this restaurant is that there’s not a lot of fried food. The only thing I saw fried were onion rings and fries to accompany the steak. That’s it! So I ate pretty lean and healthy! And I didn’t even tackle the salad bar!!!! And don’t get me started about the desserts! I hate sweets! And the desserts were all bite sized!!!! And not god aweful sweet!!! ❤️So I tried like 5 different kinds! There were like 10-15 different desserts. LOVED they were all bite sized!!!! Hope ya’ll love it as much as I did!!!!
TIP: be sure to ask if any credit cards have discounts. My friend had a DBS Credit card and we got -25% off total bill. Another DBS CARD would have given -50% off! The bill without discount is so cheap already. Approx 2200NTD!!! $75!!!!
