Jhujian Taipei Nong'an Branch — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Used to come here often in the winter and liked it. This time though, things have changed a bit. The seafood seaweed soup base was a lot more tastier, not really in a good way, because it was a lot saltier and heavy, too heavy in flavors, unnatural! On top of that, my favorite special pork meat 松阪豬 (matsusaka pork) is now a "reassembled" meat which we were told by the waitress that it was reassembled by cutting the not-so-good parts out and then reassembled the good parts together. What! Seriously? I have never heard of that before. I guess it made sense because it now has lost that special taste, texture, chewiness, and flavor! It does now taste like remixed meat, bad for $400! I am afraid it has gone...

Average quality of food and the service was a bit slow (perhaps lack of staff). Staff were friendly, but obviously overwhelmed. We had to rush toward to the end as they started to clear our table while we are still eating (with at least 1 full plates of meat still on the table).. High end hotpot place. Very good quality meat and seafood. My first time to try milky hotpot broth which was delicious! Each person gets a separate soup for himself so no need to share and everyone can pick different...
