This is not a fancy dinning facility. But, if you like lamb, claimed to be freshly slaughtered each morning, and hot pot and don’t mind sitting on little stools, this may be a place for you. The hot pot base is lamb and vegetables. Usually, there would be 4-5 different vegetables such as turnips, radishes to choose from. The broth is clear but extremely flavorful to the level that would led one to suspect a large dosage of MSG. Since none of the symptoms of post MSG consumptions were experienced by myself and others, we can assume that all the flavors are NATURAL! This broth is really the highlight of this place.
In addition to the hot pot, minimum one order for two, you can order sliced lamb, vegetables,..etc, to cook in the pot. There are other stewed lamb parts, such as various offals , feet, ears,..all wonderful. Portions are huge, so go with a larger group.
The place is always packed. Make a reservation, or be prepared to wait. Not a fancy place, but a great place to have some...
Read moreDo not come to this store especially if you are a tourist, or even a local looking for good food. I think they run a very crooked business with unclear minimum charge and menu designed to deceive new customers.
For sure you are paying a much higher price for lower quality ingredients and soup base. They might attract you with their advertised lamb meat but everything else there is overpriced bad quality ingredients, so with the soup base $1000, which doesn't include the fresh raw meat, you still need to spend another $1000 for a plate of meat. Cuttlefish paste is not fresh paste that you cook yourself but rather premade and prefrozen ones that they cooked all in the broth already for you.
Again, do not expect because you are paying $1000 per person you are exceptionally good ingredients, you are getting the same broth as other places for $300 or less.
I feel bad for all those who had been treated unfairly by them and hope it doesn't happen to...
Read moreWe came her with the expectation that we will enjoy some quality lamb but ended up disappointed. First of all, we came here on a Saturday night at around 7pm and they ran out of sliced fresh lamb. It wasn't even full when we arrived. We ordered their standard hotpot that supposed include vegetables of your choice and half a catty of lamb meat. Unfortunately, the lamb meat were actually mostly fat without much lean meat. The broth was nothing remarkable. We actually enjoyed their stir fried vegetables the most. Given it's price tag of of more than 500TWD pe person, you'd expect better...
