To begin with, I chose Oolong Tea as the tea of this meal and it cost $30. It was super duper hot and untouchable but a few minutes later it was nice and refreshing.
The Supreme Soy Sauce Chow Mein was tasty, juicy, and not too oily. Its extent of deliciousness was much greater than other same dishes from other Hong Kongese restaurants. The noodles were still delicious even though they were kinda cold after half an hour. On top of that, they did meet my demands for not placing any vegetables like sprouts.
The delectable Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce were juicy, sweet and nicely steamed.
The Coffee with Iced Milk Tea (Kopi Teh) here was on the next level because the proportion of the coffee, milk tea, and other ingredients was perfectly adjusted. The taste was sweet and not too of a coffee or milk tea.
Silky Tofu Pudding itself wasn’t too flavourful but the soup was relatively sweet. Therefore, the tofu on the bottom tasted the best.
Last but not least, it was a great experience that I had a chance to dine in here without any reservations in advance. I arrived at the restaurant at about 10:20 and there were numerous empty seats. However, after 11, the seats started to get filled gradually, so I suggest you avoid the peaks like around 12:00 or 18:00 etc if you don’t want to reserve or wait.
Moreover, the prices are moderately high and the service and attitude are great, and so is the adornment. Nevertheless, the only shortcoming was the poor internet connection but except for that, everything was perfect. Overall, I would rate this meal a 9.5 out of 10!

Read moreI have visited Lucky Star 24R Hong Kong Style Restaurant in the Linsen area many times, and every visit feels like rediscovering my favorite comfort food. The moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly steamed buns and roasted meats fills the air, instantly awakening your appetite. I simply cannot resist the charm of their dishes, which is why I always end up ordering far more than I can finish. My friend and I, just the two of us, usually order at least eight dishes every time because everything looks so tempting. The menu perfectly captures the authentic flavors of Hong Kong — from silky wonton noodles to crispy roast duck. However, the true star for me is their Lava Salted Egg Custard Bun (Liu Sha Bao). The moment you take a bite, the warm, golden custard flows out like molten gold, rich and fragrant with salted egg. It is simply unforgettable and addictive. The restaurant combines delicious food, warm service, and a cozy Hong Kong atmosphere that makes me come back again and again. If you are craving genuine Hong Kong comfort food in Taipei, this place is...

Service is quick and efficient, and the food comes out almost immediately after ordering. Some dishes are surprisingly good for the price, especially the fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, and BBQ pork pies.
However, the sweet dishes were disappointing. The custard bun with runny yolk didn’t have much salted egg flavor.. it tasted more like coconut and custard, and was overly runny. The sesame pudding soup wasn’t great either. I’d recommend sticking to the savory dishes.
One thing to note: hot tea is charged per cup, and even small items like sauces or side dishes have extra charges. Be sure to double-check with the staff about pricing before you open anything with...
