Had a pretty terrible experience here. I booked an appointment with Yuki a few weeks prior to the appointment which was for chinese new year. I had previously gotten a pretty badly layered haircut so waited half a year to grow it out, meanwhile i had box dyed my hair which was also fading so lets just say my hair was pretty out at shape at that point. when I showed up to the appointment, yuki told me she couldn't cut my hair, she explained to me why layering my hair would look bad because of how terrible the color of my faded hair dye was looking. she then took off for 10 mins because she wasn't done with her previous client and after coming back she asked me if i understood why she wouldn't cut my hair. At the time i was a bit dumbfounded because I have never been denied a haircut after having booked one weeks prior ever. I told her I understood where she was coming from but I had already waited to grow out my hair for half a year so even though I wanted to keep the length was there any other suggestions she could give. she just kept saying absolutely not, and kept adding "sorry to offend" before every comment she gave on how badly my hair color was. I really didn't know how to respond because I really did agree my hair color was a bit of a mess from the box dye but i never thought I would be turned away from a haircut because of it. Especially since it was right before Chinese New Year (also i had a trip coming up and a wedding to attend) having booked in advance and having no way other salons would be taking further appointments a day before CNY as they were all already fully booked, i was really depending on this appointment. Yuki then decided she would use a hair curler to teach me how to style my hair as a last resort since she was unwilling to give me a hair cut. at this point i was already too dumbfounded to really say anything, so I even appreciated it a little until she kept mentioning "this is a special treat, this is for free. only for chinese new year." She must have said this atleast 3 times, in my head i was thinking "am i suppose to be grateful for this? a 2 minutes tutorial on how to curl my hair which she states she wont charge for? she had wasted my time, refused to cut my hair, insulted my haircut and hair color while emphasizing shes doing me a huge favor atleast 3 times. On top of that, it was CNY the next day. She owed me atleast that much. my time is also valuable.". She then quickly escorted me out. To be honest, I could have let this one go and not leave this review if she was just nicely telling me how she really didn't recommend cutting my hair at the moment but also offer to cut my hair against her better suggestion. But it was the fact that she basically kept telling me how she was doing me a favor by not cutting my hair and that only because its Chinese new year she's giving me a special treat by offering me this 2 min tutorial on how to curl and style my hair for free. If she had such standards for cutting hair she should've listed it somewhere on her website or reminded her customers or something. And compensated me someway for the time I wasted waiting for her and also just having to start my CNY with terrrible hair that now i have no way to fixing since all saloons are obviously booked this late into...
