The Taiwanese version of Cheers. Everyone knows everyone's name and is greeted on a first name basis. Everyone on staff speaks English fluently. This is a place that gets regulars coming in every few minutes. Food is typical american bar food with a portion being asian dishes, and there are only a couple beers on tap, but many more in bottles. This place was playing Venga Bus on the TV, so it must be awesome! Anyway, this is a solid and super friendly Filipino bar near Yuanshan MRT / Taipei Expo and Tatung College. When I first moved to Taiwan I used to frequent Malibu West. They've got a wide menu of mostly American or other western food(though they have some Asian food too which isn't bad at all). The waitresses are very friendly and all speak fluent English. Located nearby the Imperial Hotel you'll meet a lot of other foreigners here, especially western cabin crew from airlines like KLM(they even have Dutch signs in the bathroom!).
