Sush-Ichi — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

TLDR version: Food was decent, however the quality of one of the main chef wasn't on par with its popularity and price with one of his finger nails untrimmed to a fault, coughing with his mouth open while making sushi etc.

Went with my aunt for a belated mother's day celebration. The food was quite good, the fish was fresh and delightful. There were three chefs during that shift, and I was not impressed with the main one responsible for our onigiri dishes. I caught glimpses of the nail of his little finger undertrimmed, which was enough to make me balk already. Then there were a couple of instances when he coughed right out in the open while making sushi, without a bloody mask on or covering his cough with an elbow. He often had to multitask, checking whatever needs to be checked on the tablet at the cashier and resumed to his station for food preparation afterwards. He probably did clean his hands, I wasn't paying complete attention but it did make me question the possible lack of hygiene of the food. The pacing at first felt rushed, but slowed to a better one afterwards.

For an itamae with a price tag of 2800 ntd , not worth coming back to and quite disappointed to the chefs...

Did lunch with the whole family, including 3 kids... Appreciate that they serve a la carte dishes for the kids! And for us, we ordered TWD 2500 set, which I think was quite a bargain. Although we have 19 different dishes, including uni sushi, BBQ fish, Saury fish, Spot shrimp, Tuna Toro and few other Sashimi... overall the fish and ingridients are fresh, and well prepared. The chef and his helpers are all professionals and helpful. We ended up ordered one more round of Tuna Toro!

It will be a better experience without our kids, but with the help of the staff, at least we can share a good dining experience with my three...

Went for lunch, price was definitely worth it. Food quality was amazing. Served an omakase style multiple course chefs menu. Prices range between 480NT to 980NT. The 980NT was supposedly a "shortened" version of their dinner tasting menu, but it was still filling and sufficient. Fresh produce tailored every day I believe.
