Delicious fish soup. I enjoyed having it on a rainy afternoon. I was wary of the distinct taste and smell of a river fish, but the way they prepared the fish, dunked in a basil and ginger-infused broth, took care of that. In fact the fish soup seems to be the crowd's favourite. I got in at 1 pm for lunch, and by 130 pm, half an hour before their closing time, they'd sold out their fish. The bee hoon is a good complement to the soup. The texture is Al dente and, in fact, a bit chewy. The service staff were friendly and efficient. The lady staff / boss was very accommodating of tourists and also guided us to queue up and order accordingly. She had also taught us how to eat their shop’s signature dish, which is to eat it as it was before adding in condiments like garlic sauce, chilli sauce and vinegar.
The dry noodle dishes were simple yet delicious. Took a second serving to confirm how good it was.

The observant waiter saw me looking at the sauces abd he brought each to me to add to my noodles. The sauces made the noodles really delicious and they seem to know all their usual customers.
