A hidden gem!
Baba’s Kitchen completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was walking into someone’s home rather than a restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of character, with soft music playing and the smell of freshly cooked spices floating through the air.
I tried the lamb biryani and a side of raita—it was absolutely incredible. The rice was perfectly cooked, the spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. You can really tell the food is made with care and tradition.
The staff were kind and welcoming, checking in just enough without hovering. They even offered me a small sample of their mango lassi on the house—so refreshing!
Portions were generous, prices fair, and the entire experience felt genuine. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with a homemade feel, Baba’s Kitchen is the place to go. Can’t wait to bring my family...

We went with our two-year-old son, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure he was safe and comfortable, even as he busily ran around exploring. Their attentiveness and kindness made us feel so welcome.
The food was exceptional—every dish we tried was full of authentic Indian flavors. The butter chicken was perfectly spiced, the naan was fresh and soft, we had this other chicken I forgot the name but it was also perfect. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impressive. The cozy ambiance, paired with such great service, made the visit truly special. Baba’s Kitchen is a gem in Arusha, and we’ll definitely be returning for more! Highly recommend it, especially...

The owner Bhavin was also present and checking in on each guest, which was a really nice touch. Overall we all enjoyed it very much and will definitely be...
