We recently had the pleasure of experiencing a safari trip with Safari by Z, and it was beyond our wildest dreams. We can't recommend this company enough, as well as their incredible guide Lemomo, and here's why:

Transparent Quotation: The detailed breakdown of all the costs while creating a quote was incredibly helpful. It makes adjusting and tailoring the trip according to your needs super easy. Accommodation Recommendations: Gladness’s (the sales rep) suggestions for lodges and camps were absolutely spot on. We had memorable stays at some truly great places. Personal Touch by Gladness: Not only did she help put together a phenomenal trip and personally greeted us at the airport and bid us farewell on our departure day. She even took the time to check in on us halfway through the trip. Such gestures are rare and highly appreciated! The Safari Vehicle: Unlike other companies, their vehicle is designed for only 4 people. This means you have abundant leg space, ensuring utmost comfort during your journey. Most of the companies we saw on the road use 6-seaters with limited legroom. You spent all your day in the vehicle so this is super important Quality of Vehicle: They use Land Rovers over the usual Toyota vehicles, making the safari experience feel even more premium. Employee Welfare: Throughout our journey, it was evident that Safari by Z treats its employees with utmost respect and care.

Now, about Lemomo - our guide during this trip. The guide is one of the most important parts of your trip, you will spend a lot of time with your guide, so make sure it’s a great time. If you're booking with Safari by Z, I would personally suggest you request specifically for Lemomo as your guide, and here are my reasons:

In-depth Cultural Knowledge: Being a Maasai, Lemomo can offer rich insights about the Maasai culture. With the major parks situated in Maasai land where he grew up, his knowledge about the terrain is unmatched. Expert Navigator: We witnessed other drivers getting lost, but Lemomo always knew the way. He even helped guide other lost drivers multiple times! Animal Spotting Skills: His prowess in spotting animals is commendable. Thanks to Lemomo, our journey was filled with countless sightings, perfect for photo opportunities. Ecosystem Respect: Lemomo treats the environment with the respect it deserves, ensuring minimal disturbance to the ecosystem. Safety First: We encountered many reckless drivers during our trip. But Lemomo, being the skilled driver he is, always prioritized our safety above everything. More than Just a Guide: By the end of our trip, Lemomo felt like a friend. Our conversations ranged from wildlife and culture to deeper philosophical discussions. He's not just knowledgeable but also possesses a great sense of humor, making every moment spent with him a joy.

To top off our trip, we also had the chance to stay at the Z Hotel in Zanzibar, owned by the same company. An absolute paradise on earth with top-notch facilities, delectable food, and impeccable service. Plus, bundling our safari with the hotel stay earned us a sweet discount.

In conclusion, if I ever decide to relive this magical experience, it would unquestionably be with Safari by Z and the wonderful Lemomo. For those planning a trip to Tanzania, you know who to choose!

This was by far the best trip we’ve ever had. Bashir planned the entire trip for us, starting from transportation to and from the airport to having our luggage’s stored at a hotel in Zanzibar while we were on safari. Pricing was very forthcoming and transparent. Some of the prices they quoted for accommodation I couldn’t beat booking on my own in terms of location and services provided. The moment we landed we had someone there to help us at each part of the way. We felt very safe, welcomed, and extremely well informed all throughout the trip.

Once we landed in Arusha, Bashir and our guide Isaya were already at the airport and had already spotted us! We went to safari right away. Spent 3 days at three different parks. Our camera battery died during day 2 of safari, but no worries the car had an international power adapter so we could charge up the battery in no time and resume taking pictures. Car also had binoculars, area where you can see from the top, and a mini fridge.

The trip included full boarding so we didn’t have to worry about what to eat or when to eat. Hotel stay had entertainment every night. If we needed anything at all from a local shop all we had to do was ask and Bashir or Isiah would arrange it. One of the requests I made was to have two SIM cards ready for us, Bashir had gotten them and already activated service for us when we landed in Arusha.

We will definitely be coming back to Tanzania for safari and will for sure be contacting Safari by Z for all...

A fantastic Trip in tanzania with safari by z, the best guide fadhili and elia who arranged everything. We booked a 6 day safari in combination with our stay at Z Hotel Zanzibar. The arrangement was made via WhatsApp, the correspondence was great and made planning this unique experience easier. Elia organized everything for us including camp stays and domestic flights. At the airport we were warmly welcomed by Elia from the office and our driver Fadhili. Shortly after the Sarafi began, we headed to Tarangiri National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, followed by a return flight to Zanzibar. Fadhili, our guide, was amazing. He was very friendly and knew everything there was to know about animals and plants, basically a walking encyclopedia. We always felt safe in the car with him, even if the “roads” were quite bumpy at times. The car we drove around in was a Land Rover, 99% of other safari companies use Toyotas which are much less comfortable.

We had an extraordinary time! Many thanks to Safari by Z and especially to elia and fadhili who made this experience so unforgettable and ran so smoothly.
