This was my first time trying Persian food. The owner was very welcoming and shared various interesting facts about the restaurant, the food and Persian culture in general. We were welcomed with fresh juice and some bread and starters. They make the food fresh after the order, so it takes some time. We were suggested to order our main food first before tea or drinks so that they start the preparation. I personally liked zereshk polo a lot, compared to the very well known Qorme Sabzi. The chicken was so soft and the rice had a great aroma and tangy taste. The place will give you a vibe of Persia. So beautifully decorated! Small space yet a very cozy vibe! It is a bit hard to see the sign bard by the road but the location in the map is exactly as it is. doesn’t have enough parking though. Only one car can fit in. Drinks and tea are a bit expensive but I would say it is worth it for the experience they offer. They also sell Persian tapestry and various handmade items. They could improve their visibility to promote the business. Would highly recommend for group lunch or dinner. Overall great food...
Read moreBeing Iranian, growing up on Persian food and being able to make it myself, I know how Persian food should taste. This is the best Persian food I have had in a very long time. Please do yourself a favor and come here! The location is very convenient, the dining area is very cute and cozy. The man and woman taking care of my friends and I were just the sweetest. I ordered a whole spread of different meals for my friends and I to do a family style meal..and it was all just so delicious! The prices were great for everything. Please tip them on top of the bill, as they work so hard to create a lovely atmosphere for their guests. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I'll be here every single day while in Dar.. Don't walk, RUN, to this amazing restaurant. If my Grandma from Iran was still living, I would swear she made the food herself. Absolutely fantastic. Oh they also sell goods from Iran...
Read moreAn excellent restaurant on Kimweri street in Dar es Salaam, close to the Cape Town Fish Market. I can bet that the meat and kebabs of this restaurant, run by an Iranian uncle, are the most tender and delicious you can eat in Dar es Salaam. They serve freshly squeezed and cold orange juice before the meal. The appetizer plate is great, the rice served with currants is amazing, Sultan Kebab is my favorite, but you can also try the chicken varieties. Its meat is soft and very delicious. As a drink, I recommend their homemade cold and dark mint ayran, and their prices are incredibly affordable. The environment is air-conditioned, decorated pleasantly and extremely clean. The kindness and service of the Iranian uncle who owns the business is...
