Read moreWe visited the place due to the atmosphere and the positive reviews. The restaurant does have one of the best atmospheres and locations in Dar. Sadly, this is all there is to it.
We visited in 2 different occasions. First one was in the evening, we were seated and given menus. We struggled to get the attention of a waiter to make our order and when we did and ordered, we were informed that the kitchen is closed. Complete lack of communication between the staff. We gave it another chance and visited in the afternoon on a Sunday. There was a live music buffet Sunday on their menu for which we asked information the first time we visited and even made a call on Sunday before visiting again. We were told it's valid until 18:00. We were there before that and we were informed that there is no buffet menu and that said event stopped couple of months ago. We happily went for A la carte. Ordered their named cocktail and a fresh juice to start. The cocktail shouldn't be served in such a restaurant. The juice was mostly tasteless. The food arrived after 30m, the starter which was chicken kadaif was rather enjoyable and the red snapper filet was among the best I have tried. Sadly the prawn curry and the Arabiata were just not reflecting a restaurant of this type. In the end we were asked for our food and drinks at which point we made a very fair critic about it with our biggest issue being the cocktail. We were brought 1 shot as an apology, for a party of 2. We had rather high hopes for this restaurant, we have been to most places in masaki of this level and we were hoping this will be our next spot. It's far from that and a disappointment. At least the staff albeit a bit slow were among the kindest...
