We had a wonderful time doing a cooking class at Juhudi restaurant!

Food is truly one of the most important gateways to culture, so this was a fantastic way to get to know the island and the life there better. They were wonderful people and we felt very nicely welcomed into their space. It was a great atmosphere and we had so much fun!

The cooking class was a great experience - they showed us great Swahili dishes step-by-step and we created a great lunch together, using the typical cooking equipment and techniques. Thanks to their expert skills and good teaching, we ended up with amazing dishes.

Both of us are vegetarian and it was no problem for them to cater to our dishes. All ingredients can be easily found anywhere, so we can now recreate a piece of Zanzibar at our homes far away, too!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and much care has gone into decorating it, making it a lovely and cozy place. Based on what we have experienced at our class, we are certain that every dish served at the restaurant will also be highly delicious.

Our dinner in Juhudi Restaurant with fresh grilled Tasi fish and Tanzanian stile french fries was super yummy. We not only enjoyed the very tasty food we also enjoyed very lovely Monica our beautiful hearted waitress. We had so much fun, laughters and singing. After dinner the staff will accompany you back to your hotel when it is already dark. What a great service for foreigners!

The next day we went on a typical Dhow Boat Sailing trip. Absolutely stunning and unforgettable experience with Captain Kitolle, his son and another young boat man. During low tide we enjoyed turquoise coloured water, we loved it so much.

During our visit in Zanzibar we went on a snorkeling trip with captain Kipollo and his crew. We highly recommend this trip where we could see many different fishes and the coral reef in Jambiani.
