My second stay at Blue Oyster and it’s definitely worth it to come back for a third trip. Very nice and small family owned hotel with seven bungalows. Each has rooms at ground and first floor with private balconies. I have a room at 1st floor, view to the sea is amazing. Bed is more than comfortable. Rooms and public rooms (restaurant and reception) are very clean. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful. They know what you want before you speak it out. At beach bar and restaurant you get delicious food. To eat here instead of an other restaurant is the right idea. Menue changes every two days, so you have the chance to have various types of meals. Sea has an amazing color. At low tide, you can walk far into the sea to sea starfishes and fishes or to swim in the turquoise water. At high tide, you only need to go down some stairs and you can start to swim. To join a snorkeling tour with Captain Zapy and his old traditional wood boat is worth it as well. Furthermore it’s nice that they avoid plastic in the hotel. Wi-Fi is working everywhere very good. But ok, that is probably the one and only topic, that is not fantastic. Since the second day, Wi-Fi is working at my balcony but not inside the room. But to be honest, I am not here for stay in the room. So, it’s not good, but no pain point.
In a nutshell: definitely a big recommendation to come...

My husband and I stumbled upon the Blue Oyster Hotel in Jambiani, and let me tell you, it was an absolute gem. We spent four days with bed and breakfast, and honestly, it was worth every penny.
First of all the value for your money is incredible. The service was top-notch – everyone was so friendly and helpful – and the whole place was spotless. And the food? Oh my goodness, the chef deserves a raise! Every single meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We're still dreaming about the seafood platter 😍😍❤️❤️
The location was perfect for us. The hotel is right on the beach, so we could step out of our room and onto the sand. It's a bit of a walk to the main part of town, but we loved exploring the local area and taking taxis and tuk-tuks. Plus, the beach is just too gorgeous to resist.
Speaking of the local area, it's incredibly safe and the locals are so friendly. There are plenty of little shops and restaurants nearby where you can get a real taste of Zanzibari life. Don't expect anything fancy, but the food is authentic and delicious.
Overall, our stay at the Blue Oyster Hotel was pure bliss. We had the most relaxing, fun-filled time and the food was out of this world. We're already planning our...

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the overall upkeep of the hotel is impressive.||The pool is lovely, and the beach is beautiful – especially great for swimming at high tide. We had lunch at the hotel’s relaxed beach bar-style restaurant, and the food was excellent.||The only area where there’s room for improvement is the breakfast – it was quite basic compared to the rest of the experience. That said, we enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for another two nights before our departure.||We would definitely recommend Hotel Blue Oyster to families or anyone looking for a relaxed, affordable stay by the beach. They also have a 3-bedroom villa that looks ideal for larger families, though it was fully booked...
