I stayed at Casa Paradis Villa with my boyfriend and another friend (total of 3 people) for 8 nights in the end of March. It was my 4th time on Zanzibar, but the first time at Casa Paradis. I absolutely loved the experience, and would highly recommend it to everyone! First off, the villa is very well kept and maintained: it was cleaned 3 times during the day, the furniture and decorations are delightful to the eye - Denisa and Valentin (the owners) brought them from all over the world, the infinity pool has a beautiful view of the beach. We loved using the outside sitting area of the villa for suntanning, relaxing and enjoying ourselves. The villa has 3 bedrooms and is ideal for 6people: 2 in each room. Each room has a bathroom as well. The kitchen has all the necessary aminities you could think of. The restaurant at Casa Paradis hotel offers breakfast and dinner. We went for breakfasts at Casa Paradis Hotel (2minutes beach walk) everyday. We loved the variety&freshness of food, and the personalised service. The breakfasts were very well balanced with a good variety of fruits, juices, hot drinks and hot food (pancakes, eggs, cheeses+++) with a wonderful view of the ocean. Dinner food was also amazing! Unlike other restaurants, you need to order your food in advance before coming to the restaurant, but you save 1-2 waiting hours as in all places. The food came very quickly and was very exquisite. My favorite was grilled octopus (sooo tender!) with flammed mango (omg i am still dreaming about it). Moreover, there is a great selection of alcohol that you can choose from: we especially loved the red wine served at the restaurant. The owners (Valentin and Denisa) are super friendly and service-oriented. They even go an extra mile. They helped us organise activities during our stay, shared the secret shopping spots, greeted us personally everytime in the restaurant, and were always eager to help. I loved their attitude! Such great hosts! All in all, it was an amazing vacation, where everything was absolutely perfect. We would like to go back to Casa Paradis again, and we highly recommend it to others as well. Thank you Denisa and Valentin for creating such a beautiful home for guests to have a dream vacation!

I’ve visited this amazing place last year in September 7th, 2020, and I told myself I have to come back. I was actually eager to return. I was fascinated with the location, but more than that with the style of this boutique hotel, the hospitality of the owners, the super delicious food they serve at the Nobis restaurant and the warmth of every smile that greeted me since I stepped inside. Now after a year, I brought my mother and two of my best friends to see the Paradis themselves. We were received with the same enthusiasm and we were very well taken care of for the entire evening. We started by having drinks on the rooftop bar. The cocktails were delicious, I enjoyed my Paradis Spritz watching the sunset. Great atmosphere and nice music. Once we finished with the cocktails, we were greeted downstairs at the Nobis restaurant where a beautiful table for 4 was waiting for us. We started with freshly baked bread and bread sticks, delicious! The plates coming out from the kitchen were art, as you’ll see for yourself, spectacular. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. Everything was accompanied by a chilled bottle of Prosecco. I was impressed by the professionalism of the lady, Helena, and the gentleman Mohamed. After every sip of water or Prosecco my glasses were refilled, same went for the rest of the guests as well. The side plate has been changed for about 4 times, with every lobster shell. 5 stars! We were already impressed to the maximum but what else better could follow?! I’ll tell you, the dessert was super delicious and the digestive from the house which was made by the owner himself. What a smooth combination of alcohol infused with cinnamon and cloves, superb! So, we booked dinner since afternoon, and make sure you do the same when you visit because the menu changes every day. Don’t forget to message your preferences before 3Pm. This is the number where you can enquire about the same: +255 622 710 442. Congratulations and thanks to the owners, Denisa and Vali, for being amazing hosts as always and for taking very good care of us and making us feel like home.

Disclaimer: I rarely leave reviews, but in this case, I would want people to know a bit more about the place my friends & I shared during the NY. The only motivation I have while writing this short review is the tribute to top-class hospitality from the hosts & their team. Overall, unprecedentedly sophisticated experience. The Casa is owned by a lovely pair of individuals (Valentine & Denisa). Their dedication and engagement during our stay (10 people) cannot be simply described by a language we speak. This is the feeling you have to taste. The ocean is right on the doorstep, so great Insta posts from the terrace are guaranteed and highly recommended (or elsewhere actually). The place is outstandingly cosy and self-sustained, highly detailed in all aspects to meet the most pretentious expectations. The time literally stopped while we were there. No need to think about anything (iron, laundry, taxi, excursion, advise on anything…), you name it and you get it. The restaurant: Beyond any expectations. No idea if Michelin guide is there in Tanzania, but it will be definitely impressed by the variety, quality and taste of the dishes we’ve been served. Wine stock is remarkable…Valentine is a French guy, he knows the topic very well. So, long story short, highly recommended, completely trustworthy. This is the solid example of human business. Cheers, B

I was walking by the beach with a friend , the restaurant looked nice .. but the restaurant manager was very rude .. she refused to accept “ guests from outside “ as she called us !

Even though The restaurant was not busy at all .. I simply told her it was her loss !

Worst memory of Zanzibar for sure !

---In Response to your comment below Denisa the owner, if anyone is miserable that would be you, you should actually be ashamed of what you wrote below.. judging people by the cloth shows what a superficial person you are, we were appropriately dressed for the beach, i will not even argue that a short and T-shirt and a casual shoes is what people wear on the beach .. you are one sad woman and i am truly glad that we didn't go to your restaurant, you have such a horrible attitude .

Update 2025: in response to your terrible update which is trying to cover your previous miserable response from a couple of years ago, you are obviously still insisting to have your terrible attitude with lacks any common sense or decency, instead of arguing your awful behaviour from years ago , you could simply apologise for your ugly attitude and start a new chapter, this would be much better for your soul.

It will make you look better to apologize and welcome people for another try and might encourage some to give you a chance,

Regarding your miserable comment about ego, if anyone has an issue with ego it is obviously you, which also been confirmed by other people on here saying the same thing about your attitude.

So here is a small piece of advice, try to be a better person and things will eventually change for you. It is also obvious that other people noticed the same from you so maybe it is worth thinking you might be the problem .

After all it doesn’t matter for me, I am actually glad I did not eat your evil food which is probably full of negative energy

this comment is sticking on your reviews for others to see until you have apologised , I may then remove it. I would never want to eat food from such a place with bad energy .. so keep your special moments...
