Okay, this restaurant is quite hype with a very high review rating that you have to make a reservation to secure a seat. And, I don't want to be "that guy" who plays the hard ball, blah blah blah. But honestly, this is really "a miss" for me.
I ordered 3 dishes as seen in the photos.
Original Fried Chicken: this is their famous menu, a butter milk battered fried chicken like the American South. The crunchiness is there, I give them that, but it totally lacks seasoning. American Southern fried chicken should be very well-seasoned on its own that you barely need any dip. This is very bland, anyhow their "garlic-miso" dip is quite good.
American Fried Rice (Westernised Thai Dish): this is Thai fried rice, not American as named. It is believed that the name comes from the fried rice made to serve American soldiers during the Cold War period or a new fried rice emerged from ingredients left over by the US army (ketchup). Anyhow, it is like a childish memory and nostalgia for most Thais, aged 30-50 years old. This one, however, is extremely sweet. Like far too sweet. American Fried Rice is usually sweet due to the sugar in ketchup but it still has a hint of tardiness from the same ingredient as well. This one has none of that tardiness whatsoever. The rice used is far too soggy and the result is a wet fried rice, which is a nightmare. There is no wokhei as well or even if it initially has one, it would be overwhelmed by the heavy use of origano in the dish. One of the worst versions of this dish I ever had.
Spaghetti Garlic and Chilli with Sausage and Bacon: taste-wise, it wasn't the worst. It was just too bland. The real problem is the pasta itself. I had emphasized that I wanted it "Al dente", but the one served was way past that point, about 2-minute overcooked if I have to guess. This is unacceptable for me. It could be overlooked if I hadn't emphasized how I wanted my pasta but this is not the case. The bacon was fine but the sausage used is so-so in terms of quality (actually quite poor).
So, my final verdict is absolutely contrast with the majority...
Read moreReally, really, really good fried chicken with excellent fries and pickles. And the truffle burger was also excellent, served on an outstanding homemade bun.
This is a relatively new place, just a few months old, but they're already attracting a following from other chefs in the area. I first heard about them from one of my favorite cafes in Bangkok, who told me their fried chicken was even better than a very well known place that's already completely booked for the next six weekends. As I was chatting with the team here (who are really friendly), that very well known place called in a giant delivery order for themselves! So, come enjoy it here now, before they get too famous.
Also, the restaurant is pretty new, but the building itself is at least a hundred years old, handed down the chef's family for generations and now lovingly restored. They're turning the second floor into a space where you can rent vintage Thai clothing and do fashion shoots. So if you're a fashionista/influencer who also loves fried chicken, this could be an especially fun place to spend the day. (And they...

I've been wanting to try the fried chicken at this restaurant for so long, but booking a table has been extremely difficult. Previously, I had to wait 3-4 months for a reservation. Today, I happened to be in the area for errands, so I took a chance and called to ask about availability—and it was totally worth the wait! The owners are incredibly attentive and give detailed recommendations for every dish.
The quality of the ingredients truly matches the price and portion size. All the sauces are made in-house, the potatoes are fresh and clean, the mashed potatoes have a unique texture, the hamburger patty is excellent, and the mac & cheese is flavorful without being overly rich. The American fried rice, made with Japanese rice, absolutely lives up to the hype. The signature fried chicken has a crispy skin that isn’t greasy, and the flavor penetrates all the way through. The Volcano Chicken, however, was just okay. As for the drinks, both the milkshake and the Sparkling Watermelon Lemon were incredibly delicious. Overall, almost everything we ordered was fantastic!
If you're unsure about what to order, feel free to ask P'Mook and P'Man, the owners, who are deeply passionate about food quality and attentive to customer preferences. Foreigner are welcome, owners are well english speaker.
A small tip to enjoy this restaurant is to visit during non-peak hours and call the restaurant directly to inquire.
