Sadly enough our experience is consistent with so many of the reviews on here. A great great historical subject, housed in a magnificent location overlooking the Palace. However such a disappointing presentation. The media & installations are dated and clunky. There were only 4 of us on our tour, but despite the fact that we were all English speakers he ran the tour largely in Thai with a few basic English updates. A couple of interesting and engaging exhibits including one that showcased the emotions portrayed during Thai cultural dances, but on the whole the narration was boring and unnecessarily long winded and the “grandure” of the palace was completely lost in the needlessly derivative attempts at “engaging multimedia collage” which carried a clear tone of of monarchist nationalistic propaganda (think marching bands and beneficent leaders blessing the people)

The strident nationalistic music and grainy historical photos accompanying a heavily monarchist narrative and enforced by an overly dictatorial tour guide left one feeling that this was a lost opportunity to portray the Thai Monarchy in a more progressive and modern light.

By about 90 minutes into the tour, having been subjected to being photographed by staff multiple times without my consent as part of some strange internal development project and having learned nothing, been redirected multiple times to rejoin the tour I was over it...
