We have really high expectations of this restaurant before decided to visit today as per many high recommended from reviews of food quality. Therefore we decided to visit today with my family.

Food: 10 out of 10 excellent taste and ingredients are matched with every plate that we ordered from the menu. My mother like it a lot. The crabs 🦀 main signature menu here out standing of fresh and tasty. Many menu create and mixed by crabs meat really amazing especially fried rice crabs meat jumbo size really amazing. All food really Touchable and great value for money paid. Compare with the price is matched. Can't complain at all. Really big size of crabs meat in all plates 🍽. We recommend to bring your foreigners friends to try here. You will not lose anything. So good.

Atmosphere: Good for easy access from main U turn under the bridge. Good for friends and family to join.

Service:

-10 out of nothing compare. All staff there doesn't care customers that much compare with prices from the menu with three digits numbers in each plate. The staff doesn't care what you will order.

Arrived they asked us to choose the empty table by ourselves. Once we choose vacant table. They said reserve without signage. But they asked us to choose. ???

We asked any recommendations from the menu. They said please check from menu........

We have to asked for service and more once we need them. They always behind the bar counter and play by talking each other and some playing phone. (We don't care as long as their complete they job)

We order more food we have to called many time until they seeing our waves 👋 hands. I then decided to walk to the bar and asked them to service us as we travel with senior generation. They are expecting table service.

No credit cars service here only Scan QR code. And bank transfers only. (Not that convenient for everyone) we asked is there anything else other options. The answer is ignored us. Then we paid all by Bank transfer. Cut off ignorance.

Big improvement: Pay attention to customer you have to assign to take care during your shift.

Product knowledge Service mind to support customers.

Your Food is Excellent and topnotch. Totally opposite from service staff inside the restaurant. It is keep us annoying and useless money of this matter.

Have a good rest, and enjoy...

Normally I’m not a fan of writing reviews but I’m going to be a fan today! I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life. My friends and I were excited to try this place because they were on the Michelin guide. We thought we’d have an amazing experience here but boy were we wrong!

1st issue - this location didn’t accept card! For such a busy and huge place, I would think by now they’d move towards electronic payments. No big deal though, we luckily came across some cash.

2nd issue - the server handed us a notepad and told us to write down what we wanted for them. We informed them that we don’t write in Thai but they ignored that fact and were confused when we wrote it in english. Sure, no big deal after 45 minutes of staring at the wall, and calling over 3 servers, they finally grabbed our order and wrote it down themselves in Thai.

3rd issue- wait time! I’m not sure if it was because we were a large group of 7, young, international, or what, but we definitely waited a while to get any servers attention and kept getting handed off to different people. We waited about 1 hour for our dishes to come out on top of the 45 minutes to order.

4th HUGE issue- after 1 hour and 45 minutes of being there, we never received our crab. We followed up multiple times and it never came. After waiting for so long, we decided it was time to go and wanted to cancel the order. My boyfriend went up to the counter and asked them to cancel the crab and the owner threw her hands up in the air and began to scream at him in English stating there was absolutely no way she could do that. He explained as calm as possible that we had waited an hour for just our food to come out and that we believed they either gave it to another table or completely forgot about it. She still screamed at him and said they were currently making it, but we all know that crab doesn’t take an hour to cook… anyways, she ended up cancelling the order and we parted ways.

The way this whole situation started and ended was extremely disappointing for a Michelin guide location. Wouldn’t recommend...

Finally made it to this Michelin Guide Thai seafood restaurant! The restaurant is about 30 minutes from Iconsiam mall, away from the Central shopping district. Hence, it is safe from the horde of tourists (for now). Only saw two tables of tourists despite the accolates of Michelin Guide every year since 2019.

Tried the following dishes:

Signsture steamed 🦀 in milk & roe - The crabs were very photogenic, with bright orange roe soaked in nutritious milk. Even the body came with roe as well, perfect for roe lovers. The crabs were packed with a rich natural sweetness, brininess, and a strong umami undertone. This style of cooking is not for spice lovers but for those who appreciate freshness and the natural sweetness of seafood.

Signatuee river prawn - waiter advised that they only have medium-sized prawns on the day of visit. Turned out that it's the right size for me, as I always harbour suspicion that the biggest prawns come with tougher meat.

Crab omelette - looks like an otah from outside, but it's packed with firm and juicy crab claw meat inside. Not amongst the best in Bangkok, but I won't complain too much either. Can be a bit drier.

Squid with eggs - it's not that easy to find squid full of gelatinous eggs. A very appetising dish cooked in spicy sauce and basil.

Crab fried rice - Pleasany surprised that it's served in a claypot. The generous chunks of crab claw meat immediately caught the eye. It's not the best but quite good.

Steamed crab body and legs - had a small plate of additional crab, just plainly steamed for the original taste.

Petai with crab - for petai lovers, this is a must. U don't recall having petai paired with crab meat before. Fried in Thai spicy sauce, it's a great appetiser.

Tomyam gong - had a clear soup version, spicy and sour, always a lady's favourite.

Overall, it was a great lunch! Don't mind coming back for more. By the way, strangely, the restaurant only accepts cash! So do save some cash from...

This was, without exaggeration, the worst restaurant I have ever been to — and the fact that it has been mentioned in the Michelin Guide for 6 years makes the experience even more shocking. The hype is completely undeserved, and the reality is chaos, dirt, and disappointment. There is no host stand, no hospitality, and no organization whatsoever. To even get in line, you have to walk through a fruit shop and find a messy whiteboard with a marker. That’s their “queue system.” No proper waiting area, no order, and just one person randomly calling names. They even have a microphone, but for some reason don’t use it — so customers are left in total confusion. I waited over an hour just to get a table, and then another hour for food. During that time, the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The floor under the tables and chairs was completely trashed — food scraps, napkins, and litter everywhere. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and honestly disgusting. The so-called queue kept getting shorter not because tables were moving, but because people simply gave up and left. Looking back, I wish I had too. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, carelessly prepared, and absolutely not worth the price. Dishes here are five times more expensive than normal, but taste like something from a cheap roadside stall — except without the charm, flavor, or friendliness. It’s nothing but a rip-off disguised under an old Michelin mention. In short: Mae Klong Hua Pla Mo Fai is chaotic, dirty, disorganized, overpriced, and overrated. The food is not special, the service is nonexistent, and the whole experience is a waste of time and money. If you value your sanity, skip this place — there are hundreds of better, cleaner, cheaper, and tastier restaurants in Thailand.
