WiFi, Toilet and geographical convenience!
Tiger Ted has a host of things going for it. I have been countless times and never tire. Where to start? There's as much a loyal group of customers returning as there are fresh passers by, as from a foot traffic point of view, Ted has cunningly placed his cafe tree house. It is right in-between Maya mall and a market, near the Nimman road area. The novelty of Ted's venue is that is made of shipping containers and wood, surrounding a beautiful tree such that it is half tree house half recycled metal.
Reasons to visit:
Great coffee and effort put into the presentation. Possibly my favourite Thai Iced Espresso with condensed milk. Tasty banana bread, not mass produced 7 Eleven packaged stuff. A range of lunch options - I like the baked/stewed chicken dishes on rice. You can sit up amongst the branches of a tree! There are various seating options and areas, all with novelty value. High stools/bench/chairs, tables and long counters. Kid friendly/safe. (Proper steps up into the tree, not a ladder.) Bicycle friendly with a specific stand. Many cyclists stop here. Ted understands a great WiFi experience. There’s 2 and 5GHz. The waitresses bring the good to your table. It’s right next to the mall should you need to go shopping or to the cinema after working on your laptop. You can see Doi Suthep and watch the military jets fly past. If you get too hot, you can sit in the main cafe area downstairs with Ted. There are cakes and ice creams. There are power outlets for charging.
The only thing missing is a foot massage! But then, show me a cafe venue which has...
Read moreLovely tree house style coffee shop serving decent coffee at reasonable prices. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Service was quick and efficient. It seems like a quirky anomaly: given its location is on a busy road; positioned between the Maya shopping mall and Rincome market. But once you're inside it feels like you're transported somewhere much more tranquil. It has good atmosphere! Marked down slightly because the coffee, while artful, and of a good standard, was a tad too sweet. We ordered a vanilla latte and a caramel macchiato and I think the kind hearted staff were perhaps a little too generous with the syrup. Having said that, I would still...

BEST THING IS this is made around an old tree in a cargo container mounted atop a tree! Literally! And very comfortable, airy and wifi and all one will need to have a great time here. Thank you Tiger Ted cafe team for preserving the aura, upholding values and giving us such exemplary service e and support...
