Hong Kong Lucky reminds me of a Singapore hawker centre experience. The atmosphere is a bit noisy with an arcade next door, so this is not a fine dining establishment. However, the food is excellent and some of the best dim sum I have had in Chiang Mai. We had a large assortment of dishes. My go-to dishes to test a place are Siew Mai and Har Gow. I must say I was impressed. Both had reasonably large chucks of shrimp in them (not minced as some other local places) and the wrappers had a nice bite… not too gluttonous. It was a nice surprise to see Xiao Long Bao on the menu. They were also reasonably good and reasonably authentic (my benchmark is high - Din Tai Fung in Singapore). My wife enjoyed the roast duck and was impressed by the crispy skin (which she normally removes - not this time). Service was a little slow to start, but got better as we went along. Read moreI can't find any suitable description to the dishes, they are what I have in Hong Kong, even better. I can tell the pork is hand minced, hope the readers know the difference between machine minced and hand minced as hand minced meat is able to keep the texture of the meat which the favour indeed enhanced.
Noodles dishes are also favorite 😍 their homemade rice noodles is what I had when I was a kid, yes, that's the original flavor.
