Hong Kong Lucky reminds me of a Singapore hawker centre experience. The atmosphere is a bit noisy with an arcade next door, so this is not a fine dining establishment. However, the food is excellent and some of the best dim sum I have had in Chiang Mai. We had a large assortment of dishes. My go-to dishes to test a place are Siew Mai and Har Gow. I must say I was impressed. Both had reasonably large chucks of shrimp in them (not minced as some other local places) and the wrappers had a nice bite… not too gluttonous. It was a nice surprise to see Xiao Long Bao on the menu. They were also reasonably good and reasonably authentic (my benchmark is high - Din Tai Fung in Singapore). My wife enjoyed the roast duck and was impressed by the crispy skin (which she normally removes - not this time). Service was a little slow to start, but got better as we went along. The prices were very reasonable for the quality. Overall, a satisfying dim sum experience in Chiang Mai. Finally. PS - I have the feeling that the several negative reviews are competitors….

I can't find any suitable description to the dishes, they are what I have in Hong Kong, even better. I can tell the pork is hand minced, hope the readers know the difference between machine minced and hand minced as hand minced meat is able to keep the texture of the meat which the favour indeed enhanced. Noodles dishes are also favorite 😍 their homemade rice noodles is what I had when I was a kid, yes, that's the original flavor. Readers may or may not like the open air style atmosphere but why not give it a try to their dishes, people watching sometimes a chance not flipping cell phone.

Absolutely solid HK food. The Cheung fan is smooth and soft just like the way it’s prepared at a proper HK dimsum restaurant. Besides dimsum, their main dishes like beef stew tendon and noodles are exactly or event better than in HK. They recently moved to a bigger space and new comfy dining seating. When I need my HK food fix, I come here. Price is affordable, considering for a restaurant in a mall.

Myself and two friends got severe food poisoning and diarrhea from eating at this restaurant.

The restaurant refused to take any responsibility and claimed it had never happened before even though I see at least one other previous review saying they got diarrhea from eating here.

There are plenty of other restaurants in Chiang Mai. Please don't take the risk with a place like this. It's...
