We didn't stay in the hostel but my girlfriend and I have been visiting the cafe for over a year. Lately the service has been terrible.
For example, we working in the Cafe today and it was raining. We asked the staff to borrow an umbrella so we can go somewhere to eat since they don't serve food.
Essentially, they denied us an umbrella and said they we had to combine our tables since they might have more people visiting. Keep in mind, these are small tables only suitable for one person.
Although, it hasn't been problem to do this in the past when we've been drinking coffee and coworking here. All of the sudden, we had to put our stuff together on a rainy day with zero patrons.
We inquired why we had to merge to one table and the vibe was such that it seemed we were being pushed to leave. It baffles me that they want to kick out their only paying customers "just in case" someone else shows up when there is ample space for them to sit.

Staff are lovely, polite, and attentive! They have always smile on their faces and are available to help you with whatever you need. I've had very productive work sessions at the cafe and got some work done during my stay. The cafe's atmosphere is also nice; there are some regular cafe guests who seem to know each other.

As I currently live in a hostel long term, cleanliness and beds are two of the most important factors, and I must say this is where you can stay for long term. I also love the decorations in the cafe, minimalist yet artsy, accentuating the character of the cafe. I will...
