Pho Vieng Chan — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Pho Vieng Chan is a cozy Vietnamese restaurant located inside Jingjai Market. It’s a nice spot to visit if you’re in the area and craving Vietnamese food.

The menu has a good variety, and the food is quite tasty. I especially enjoyed the Vietnamese fresh spring rolls with pork sausage (Nem Nuong)—they were flavorful and well-prepared. The pho, however, wasn’t as impressive; I felt the broth could be richer and more aromatic. Still, the prices are affordable and the portion sizes are good, which makes it a great value overall.

Seating is somewhat limited, with about 6–8 air-conditioned indoor tables, but there are also outdoor seats available. The owners are very kind and attentive, which adds a lot to the experience. Parking can be a bit difficult since it’s shared with other Jingjai Market visitors, especially on weekends when the market is busy.

Overall, it’s an affordable and welcoming place with some standout dishes—worth trying if you’re exploring...

i was craving for authentic Vietnamese food when living in Chiang Mai. Found this restaurant by chance, on Google. I went there by myself. Nice restaurant, clean, pleasant. I ordered a grilled pork dish; it came out with plenty of fresh vegetables, delicious dipping sauce, and neatly cut rice-papers. A generous serving. The owner(?) is kind and attentive; he came to table to give me extra vegetables when i was reluctant to ask for some more to finish my grilled pork... The restaurant is small, but feelings are just great. I will ask my husband to take me back there next time, then he will also know that there is a real, good Vietnamese food restaurant...

Delicious Pho! I eat mine with no meat (see pic) owner was super sweet & happy to accommodate. Food was delicious and the owner made our visit even better. Such a funny, silly kind man he is! Pho broth was PHENOMENAL & super authentic. I’m from Houston Tx USA where we have a huge Vietnamese population so I’m pretty picky with Pho. This was delish! And super fresh herbs were included along with letttuce for the spring rolls. Nice cool a/c and clean establishment. We will return :)...
