I've had The Volcano toast a few years ago in Bangkok but only recently found out that it's a Chiang Mai original! I love their cheese toast - legit has a pull to it (see pic) and the cheese is not sweet.
This branch has plenty of seating on the second floor - on each of my visits so far it was quite empty. Some tables have plug outlets. Some tables are designed to link with the table next to them so it was rather annoying to sit by someone who kept shaking the entire structure. There are some simple board games free to use.
The staff here are mostly young, don't speak English much, but are super friendly and accommodating.

First, it's on the second floor, so if you order on the first floor and wait at the table on the second floor, they bring you food. When they're busy, you'll have to look at the electronic display and go down to pick it up yourself. The second floor is very hot because it only has one air conditioner.
