น้ำเงี้ยวป้านวล อาหารญวณพังงา (Nam Ngiew Pa Nual, A-Harn Yuan Phang-nga) — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Super retro place with tons of collectibles & trinkets placed around the eatery. The place is hidden alongside a side lane in between Wiang Inn & Hi Chiangrai Hotel. It was very well shaded & cooling. My first time trying nam ngiao so I got it as small size (40 baht). Dish was served hot with minced meat, pork blood cubes, tomato & some lean pork cuts. Very value for money & pretty tasty too! Also got the thai milk tea that was wayyy too sweet! Unable to request for less/no sugar as the menu states that drinks are already pre-mixed/made. The walkway to the toilet at the back end of the eating place was where the staff made their in-house chilli....

Super nice Vietnamese restaurant with excellent cuisine. I had the Northern style spicy soup and loved it. Tiny Little bit like goulash 😀soup but with pork in it. Next was the grilled lemon grass pork in betel leaves. Fantastic. The spring rolls in prawns were then not so my taste, bit too much lemon grass to me but this is personal and I was pretty filled up already. The grilled lemon grass pork afterwards was more than nice and I finished it although quite full then. Interior feels like a mix of retro and vintage and is cosy. Not too much guests this evening, would definitely deserve more. Location a bit off from main street so...

I am a Nam Ngiao fanatic. My favorite food in the world. I feel like I'm cheating on my favorite Nam Ngiao restaurant (Aui Chan in Chiang Rai) by leaving this review but this bowl is as good or better.

It was suggested to me by my hostel and it did not disappoint. They have reduced their menu because of Covid and it days something that they reduced themselves to only the Nam Ngiao. It is THE best of the best out of 100's of Nam Ngiao...
