This from a local, great place, in the top tier of western food in the entire province, this one has a little fusion, with a lean toward Spanish and italian; Large portions on huge plates, western decor with all marble top tables, extensive wine list, onsite bakery Top, the manager, nice guy, pushed the deserts, garden outside, seating there, inside, glasswalls, all air con, this place stands out in this old party strip, quite a step up, good English, spotty parking, but pay lot round the corner, rest is spotless, great western bathrooms, the type of place you miss even before leaving, price of beer is a little nutso high tho Highest recommendations ** Update 20201210 4th visit,all excellent,personable,smart manager/owner sat and talked with us at length,engineering background which explains why the place is so we'll designed and runs efficiently, The menu is well designed,the spicy birds eye chilies,bacon linguini is special; as is the salmon citrus salad,unique taste Not inexpensive but an overall excellent dining experience,real orchids accent the marble top tables,looking forward already for next visit (added 8 or so photos)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dear Friend Bistro, and I have to say, it has become one of my new favorite places! The inside and outside spaces are both lovely - perfect for any occasion. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the charming atmosphere and friendly staff.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The Chocolate soufflé was not only beautifully presented, but it was absolutely divine! Paired with a cup of Rose tea, it made for a wonderful afternoon treat. The Duck Confit was also excellent - tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. However, the real standout dish was the black ink squid risotto. It was simply kickass! The flavors were bold and unique, and the texture was spot-on.

Overall, my experience at Dear Friend Bistro was fantastic. I highly recommend this charming French Bistro to anyone looking for delicious food, great ambiance, and friendly service. Trust me, you won't be...

A week ago, my wife and I ate a late lunch at Dear Friend and were delighted. I got the Sea Bass Fish & Chips. It was a good size piece of delicious fish, perfectly cooked with a light and flavorful batter served with a tasty tarter sauce that was not made with dill, for which I was grateful. It also came with both fries (chips) and onion rings which were, again, perfectly cooked.

My wife ordered the Almond Crusted Salmon and there is no doubt that she loved it because she closed her eyes to savor each bite. Like mine, it also came both fries and onion rings and was very pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the onion rings. There was also a small salad of mixed greens and other vegetables.
