Kalae Cafe Nangnon Coffee — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Bumped into this cafe unintentionally. Here's my first impression..

Ambience: Chill. No aircon but not stuffy (it's Jan now, sure about summer days). Comfy seats with backrest on both 1st & 2nd floor.

Food: Ordered 1 Thai milk tea & bacon spaghetti. Tea came without sugar. Ordering menu doesn't provide option for different sugar levels. When asked, waitress said I need to indicate. Confusing. Spaghetti is nice but not great. Bacon is alright but Garlic is too thick. Thus not well fried and obviously no garlic fragrance.

Price: Very reasonable.

Service: Disappointing. They provide free plain water but no glasses. When I informed the waitress, we waited for more than 20 minutes to bring them. When I feedback about the tea without sugar, I was told that I need to specify the sugar level. However, there was no options in the online page. Never had I offered a Thai milk tea without sugar BY DEFAULT. I mean, it's perfectly alright if you've missed out....

This cafe was exactly what we needed. The ambiance and groovy vibe hit me first; the beautiful smiles next. First the coffee! In a country that seems to make exceptional coffee in general; the ladies at Nangnon Coffee have to down to a perfected science. I had a great cappuccino. Artfully decorated with a delicate flower.

I ordered Avocado toast. It was served on a thick slice of bread that was yummy. Piled high with a generous serving of avocado, bean sprouts and olives, its presentation was beautiful. I complimented it with fresh squeezed orange juice.

The restaurant is artfully decorated with very comfy chairs nice art. It’s situated such that it gets great light, but is not in the sun.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday breakfast at Nangnon...

One of the best cafes/ eateries I have been to in Thailand! Not only is the food amazing,the employees are amazing and attentive, and the cafe itself is designed beautifully.

We tried the French toast with fruit and Musli yoghurt fruit bowl. It is actually the best french toast we have ever had. The musli yoghurt fruit bowl was also incredible with tons of different and tasteful fruits.

If you want amazing tasting food, incredibly friendly and attentive staff and beautifully presented food in a calm environment - this is the place for you!

Also, the cafe has a second floor which is perfect if you want some privacy. There are charging spots here so if you want to use your laptop and get some work done, Kalae Cafe got you!
