I have been a loyal customer at Nora Beach Club for the past week, spending significant amounts daily despite knowing there were cheaper options nearby. My family and I even opted for the New Year’s Eve Gala, paying a steep price to secure a table at the sea front. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations.
First, the fireworks display was mediocre compared to the neighboring venues. The service was chaotic: our reserved table was given to another party by mistake, and when we were eventually seated, it was at a table without proper arrangements. Staff members acknowledged the issue but failed to resolve it, disappearing without further assistance.
The entertainment was another disappointment—subpar music and performances that felt more fitting for a budget holiday resort than a premium venue. On top of that, the champagne we ordered took forever to arrive, and staff challenged us, claiming we had already received it.
However, the worst experience occurred on New Year’s Day. After spending the entire week and New Year’s Eve at Nora Beach Club, the management approached me and my 15-year-old daughter, confronting us about accessing the beach via the street. The manager, who claimed to be “the boss,” (Lance) was aggressive, confrontational, and blatantly disrespectful. His behavior was completely unacceptable, repeatedly approaching us as though our presence alone was an issue. I believe this was an act of racial profiling, as his demeanor was hostile and discriminatory.
I managed to capture part of this altercation on video, and it was clear that his tone shifted once he realized he was being recorded. Before that, he was aggressive, dismissive, and unprofessional. It is clear that BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT WELCOME at Nora Beach Club, and this manager’s behavior ruined what had otherwise been a week of pleasant memories.
The food and drinks at Nora Beach Club are mediocre at best—their only redeeming qualities are the DJs and sound system. Unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by the appalling behavior of the management.
I will never return to this establishment, and I urge others to think twice before supporting a place where such discriminatory behavior is tolerated. Nora Beach Club, you...
Read moreI speak for probably all 20+ beds at this beach club. At first glance looks like a nice place, but the experience couldn’t be more disappointing. Terribly bad/ non-existent service. The fee for the beds goes towards food/beverage consumption so you’ll have to deal with service whether you like it or not. If you order a drink or simply a bottle of water, expect it in about an hour, or never really (witnessed several examples of this with other people around us too). If you order food and you’re at one of the beach beds, it has to be delivered at a table, and you’ll never be notified that the food is ready on the table. We eventually just got up and started walking around the tables trying to guess which one might be our food, if it’s ready at all. Eventually, we found our cold food that looked like it’s been there for a while and just sat down and started eating. Nobody said a thing. Let’s not forget pricing is above European standards and Service Charge is not optional. It’s a real shame because the concept of this place is good, the location is great, and the food is pretty good, but whoever operates this place either has no idea of what even basic service means or they’re really bad at training their people to at least do simple order taking. Hope this feedback helps you get this place to where...
Read moreI recently visited Nora Beach Club in Phuket, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, despite its high rating. The service was extremely disappointing—every order, no matter how simple, took an excessive amount of time. For example, it took over 30 minutes to bring a bottle of water.
The staff were unfriendly and unresponsive. I even tried to address the issue directly, politely asking them to bring my orders. promptly. Although they assured me they would, nothing improved. Out of frustration, I decided to run a little experiment—I placed an order without reminding them. Not only did they fail to bring it, but they also added it to my bill, which I had to correct after pointing it out.
The food itself was okay, but the overall experience was ruined by the poor service. To make matters worse, they require a minimum spend, so you’re essentially stuck there, enduring their bad service.
In stark contrast, I visited Catch Beach Club nearby afterward and had an amazing experience. The difference was night and day. At Catch, my orders were brought within minutes—now that’s what I call good service.
If you’re planning to visit Nora, be prepared to constantly remind them of your orders or risk being ignored. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they significantly improve...
