I came alone to Lazy Coconut Beach Club the day before yesterday and asked for one sunbed. I was told the price was 1,000 THB — 500 for the bed and 500 as a food deposit. I agreed. But as I started to settle in, two staff members came over, removed my bag from the neighboring sunbed, and took it away. When I asked what was going on, they said that since I had only paid for one sunbed, the other one was needed for “other guests.”
What guests? There were only three sunbeds occupied, the place was almost empty — it’s low season. Yet they still decided to take away the sunbed where I had simply placed my bag.
This kind of behavior is just disrespectful. I felt extremely uncomfortable and ended up leaving for another beach club where guests are actually welcomed and not treated like a burden. It’s like sitting alone at a table and someone takes away all the extra chairs just so you don’t put your bag down.
I used to really like Lazy Coconut, but after this experience I won’t be coming back. It’s a shame the service has become...
Read moreSomething you could easily miss - but something you definitely don’t want to miss! We hired the pool cocoon and the beach ones too - a little pricey but you do get an amount back per cocoon to use on F&B though! Burgers were a hit with our boys but the platters felt a little thrown together and lacked flavour. Loved the coconut water! Staff made up for anything lacking - friendly and happy to chat. When the rain came they were supper efficient in getting everything sorted and back to normal within minutes. We visited for a birthday so a little disappointing that wasn’t even acknowledged - it’s the little things that make things extra special, missed opportunity but didn’t stop us having a few great days here. On our second visit we were all sick on the day and they changed our booking without loosing payment happily. Recommend if you want a relaxing day in the sun with good vibes, peace and...
Read moreThis is the most relaxing place we’ve been to on Phuket. The beach is very clean and beautiful here and not so crowded as Patong. We did not stay in the villas so this review is for the bar and restaurant. The villas did look pretty nice though. We spent a few hours here and had dinner. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. After bypassing the fairly intimidating menu of cabana options and table fees (6,000+ baht for a cocoon?), we took a seat at a table and just ordered a lazy coconut cocktail. It was very good and despite the 10% service charge we were not charged the 500 baht per person minimum that was implied at the check in. We took a walk on the beach and came back for dinner. I took one star off because the food was not worth the price. I would still go back for the cool vibe as long as they don’t actually try to charge...
