Hidden Gem in Phuket: A Must-Visit for Turkish BBQ Lovers!

I recently discovered a charming hole-in-the-wall Turkish restaurant in Phuket, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed like family by the owner and staff, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience.

The highlight of my visit was the incredible BBQ. Each dish was bursting with flavor, from perfectly marinated kebabs to tender, juicy grilled meats that left my taste buds dancing. The authenticity of the Turkish cuisine truly shone through, making it a standout meal during my trip.

What impressed me most was how the staff helped me out of a jam. They were quick to assist with recommendations and even made adjustments to accommodate my dietary restrictions without hesitation. Their genuine care and hospitality transformed a simple meal into a memorable experience.

We have been many times in this restaurants and all the times we have had a good experience, until the last time we went there, some days ago, mind it was a Sunday, the restaurants was completely empty and the 2 workers and the wife of the owner were chilling at the bar. As soon as we sat we ordered, 40 min after we still didn’t have anything on the table and when we called out the waiter to ask him what was going on with our food, the wife of the owner in a very arrogant way told us “We have other orders so you have to wait” THEY WERE SITTING AT THE BAR WHEN WE CAME!! There was no orders before ours, they came after!!! We were shocked, what did she mean WE HAVE TO wait? When we told her we don’t have to wait and we were leaving she started yelling at us saying there was other orders before us while the waiter kept saying he was sorry. The food was so and so. Not bad but merely ok. The falafel wasn’t a falafel, it seemed to be bread with falafel spices. They also played very loud rock music (personally I’m a fan but my wife and two kids aren’t). Another reason for the low score is that our son is allergic to sesame seeds and we til the waiter may e three times, still sesame came with three out of five dishes. We spotted it for the first course (falafel with tahini) luckily and figured that they might mess up. We told them again that it was important to leave out sesame seeds, and then the kids came - sprinkled with sesame...
