The environment was nice, being about 30 meters from the sea, on the beach. Can imagine the nice sunset to see (we had a cloudy day).
Waiter service was great with staff responding quickly. However, the cooking seems a tad bit slow. We were there at off peak hour (just 3? tables) and it took 15 mins for the appetizers to arrive (ok, since they were grilled) but almost 45 mins total or so for the main dishes to arrive.
Food... The chicken skewers (wrapped in leaves to grill type) were nice and juicy throughout. Excellent.
The Seafood Tom Yum in a steamboat pot was an absolute letdown. Sad ingredient quantities (i think i should call it mushroom tom yum + SOME seafood) and the taste of the soup wasn't fantastic. Avoid.
The fried morning glory was alright but the portion was rather disappointingly small.
The grilled fish (yes this may take a while to cook but doesn't explain the delays for the rest) was okay. Not fantastic and not super fresh fish but o-kay.
Parking I would think would be an absolute nightmare if you come anywhere near peak hours. Drive, by all means, but park at the 1st spot you find in the area then walk to the restaurant.
Overall not a place I'd go to for...
Read moreTom yum goong: not as spicy as we normally have it, but a decent level of heat and the soup itself is savoury and rich with a decent (5) amount of prawns for 2 pax Steamed white snapper: The fish itself does not have a robust flavour but could be described as almost bland and therefore a bit wanting when steamed. That said, they did a good job of it by using a decent amount of herbs for steaming and garnishing. Fried ka na: a highlight dish if you like stir fried vegetables. The stems of kana (or kai lan) always presents as crunchy, the leaves tender, the sauce savoury, leading to a pleasant, sensorial dish. Fish cakes: frankly these taste out of a box, but they are a crowd pleaser with kids. Mango Sticky Rice; the fruits may not be in season as aroma is not inspiring. However kudos for giving a generous portion and it being a mild pleasant sweetness. The warm rice and coconut milk is on point.
All in, THB 26K with beer and coffee. Reasonable given the amount of food.
As mentioned in every other post, the view is amazing and the service is friendly. A fantastic spot to...
