If they arenât ready to give BASIC service for PREMIUM priceâĶ (120 THB for a yozu soda drink) they should reconsider themselves.
We visited the shop in person after seeing its advertisement on Google Maps. Upon arrival, we noticed that the actual atmosphere did not quite match the advertisement, the place looks smallerâthere was some lack of maintenance, and the outdoor tables were scattered. However, we still decided to give it a try.
When we entered, the shop was empty except for the staff. We smiled lightly and Unfortunately, there was no greeting, and the staffâs expressionless stares made us feel unwelcome. When we asked for a menu, they simply pointed to an iPad without any engagement. Reminder: they werenât busy. While this wasnât an issue, the overall interaction felt indifferent.
We chose to sit in a quiet corner, as we were planning to have a video call and wanted to be considerate of others. We kept our volume at a normal conversational level, or even lower volume sometime. However, during the call, the staff spoke loudly across the shop, and there was excessive noise from the counterâfar louder than what one would expect, even in a busy kitchen. I looked around for a menu, and they pointed to a small iPad where I could barely make out the prices and drink names. We ordered our drinks and sat down. The barista prepared my drink, brought it over, and placed it on a table across from us. Then, he made my friendâs drink but didnât bring itâhe just left it on the bar without saying a word. It felt rude.
I asked if the drink was ready, and the barista said yes and apologized, but still didnât bring it over. I had to go and get it myself. After that, the staff started making a lot of noise in the small cafÃĐâit almost seemed intentional. We werenât being loud or causing any trouble for them or other customers.
We stayed for about an hour, and during that time, there were only three other customers. We werenât disturbing anyone. We paid quite a lot for two drinks and a pastry (300 baht) but didnât receive the level of service we expected. I donât understand the staffâs behavior, and the way they treated me and my friend was very unpleasant. Overall, a very...
