Lake House Pattaya By My Thai — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

The restaurant opens daily from 8:00 to 19:00 so it is best to come early although late comers are still welcome but only with more simple dishes. We were four and took three starters: chicken satays ( bite size, very well seasoned), Somtam Thai (very nice too) and fried sun-dried pork. We ordered a Mapu red wine which was not bad. Main courses were Black rice (Riceberry), Tom Yam Kung (rather good), pork stir-fried with ginger (super good for ginger lovers), chicken cashew nuts (medium good). Was perfect until I went to leave and my rucksack accidentally knocked over a wine class the staff had put on the table right next to the till. I apologized as much as I could but the lady was really unhappy so I offered to pay and she very quickly said 150baht, even though I'd just spent over 1000 and was likely to go back often but that mentality really put me off. Love this little place, great food, nice and friendly nothing too much trouble, tranquil , reasonable priced. Beach basic fresh and airy. Once found, ate there all the time, but you need to get there early in the evening as it doesn't open late. So friendly cold beer waiting for me on arrival and home grown mango after dinner.
