SLOW SERVICE!! No one welcomed us at the front, we had to walk in and grab the menus and seat ourselves… which was wild. Usually water is given right away and customers are asked right away if they’d like anything else to drink, we already looked at them menu and decided everything we wanted to eat and kept looking around for someone to take our order… waited minutes until someone finally came around. SUPER UNDERSTAFFED on a Friday night! Singha beer is reasonably priced. The complimentary small avocado/salmon bite was not bad but TINY, the complimentary bread was warm and fresh and came with soft butter and some salt. The Australian Wagyu beef tartare was soft and not too salty and comes with a bit of raw onion and slightly sauced arugula, bread could’ve been a bit more buttered/toasted. My husband and I both got the Black Angus Rib Eye steak, medium rare. The medium rare was good, steak was tender and soft/chewy, my steak had a stringy/tough fat line though so I couldn’t finish all the meat. The 3 sauces/salts helped add more flavor profiles. Sides were basic, I got fries w/ ketchup and the mushroom sauce and my husband got the mashed potatoes with peppercorn sauce. Mushroom sauce was not bad, tad salty but had a few thin slices of actual mushroom. We came with a friend, the men got their food first but mine came awhile later. I told them to eat first without me or else their food would have gotten cold. Waited another while for our dirty dishes to be taken away. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention for the check, it was late and we were tired. We figured we had given them our room number before we ordered so we thought they would just charge our room so we got up and left. We had already gone back up to our hotel rooms and 10 min later they must have finally noticed we were gone and someone came knocking on our door to ask for the check, and tip! We were appalled, they don’t deserve any! My husband was nice and forgiving enough to give 10%, Overall experience was meh, may or may not try this place again during our stay...
Read moreSo to start, I would not come here again, want to know why, read the rest. We were set out to have a great steak dinner and I tumbled across this restaurant which is innside the Mövenpick Hotel and seeing the review it was very appealing. We were greeted nicely and brought to our table right next to the windows, but the VIE is not really interesting to be honest. We ordered some starters which were OK but nothing special and then 3 kinds of steak incl. a Wagyu. Two of the steaks were really tough, not what I would expect at this price, sides were boring as well as the sauces, very uncreative and lacking taste. Then as I forgot that it was game night and to make it to Kickoff we had to hurry and I asked to pay a whooping 10.000B. I asked if I could just tap my phone which The said it is against policy. WHAT, REALLY? From such a large chain as Mövenpick I expect more, luckily I had a credit card with me and could pay like that, needless to say it took for ever and the staff was not very forthcoming. I do have to add, that the wine was good, as you wod expect from Mövenpick. All in all a very disappointing experience and...
Read moreThe view here is absolutely stunning, and all the staff were so sweet and attentive throughout our meal. Every dish we ordered was really good ,the cheese 🧀 selection was top quality and delicious, and my partner’s steak 🥩was perfectly cooked just the way he asked. We were really impressed! 🤍 The only dish we didn’t quite enjoy was the scallop ceviche ,the passion fruit flavor was so strong that it completely covered the taste of the scallop, and when eaten alone the scallop just left a fishy aftertaste. Maybe that’s the intended style of the dish 😅 but it wasn’t our favorite. 🤍Overall though, it’s such a lovely restaurant and if not for that one dish, it would have been 100/100 for us 💯 Definitely a place we’d love to come back. I would like to compliment Aoi for her outstanding service. She was very attentive, caring, and provided excellent support. I truly appreciate her enthusiasm and dedication to her...
