Read moreNew and big place so lots of people! Right from entering you will get lost about the seating system. No reception could e identified so we followed through to the dining eara and noticed a very long queue at the coffee/cake counter and noticed the cake selection is just standard like many other shops. We then artived at a large bar counter which had many available seats. We asked if we can sit and were told can only drink cocktails but food cannot order because must sit at table (???). So we asked for a table which was offered on queue 30 minutes and we accepted. Table was ready in just 5 minutes... good!
Now the confusion really started!!!! We (4 of us) wanted to a variety of food and drinks but to our surprise we could not order draft beer nor coffee nor cake from our waiter as such is set up at self setvice system. For coffee and cake you need to go one counter and pre-pay-wait-pick-up-self-serve... and for draft beer pay at another counter and make your own draft beer via electronic draft beer system and self-serve... omg ... so we ordered and paid at 3 diffetent points...!!! I wonder who in management came up with such a ridiculous system!!! We are middle upper age folks and do enjoy good food and drinks by being served...specially at high-end menu prices like at Nitan!!!
In addition cannot pay by credit card which is very disappointing ...they should advice when we arrive and order !!!
Food was average and cocktails at 390.- + are rather expensive and really small with ok taste! Cappuccino from Kenyan beans is ok but was just luke-warm. We ordered 2 cocktails of which 1 not available so we re-choose and we waited 15 minutes until first cocktail came and after 25 minutes we asked "where is the other cocktail? The food selection is ok but should be much better in area of main courses and specially premium steaks!
The decorations are grand and we felt like sitting in a "Church"... as the ceilings are very very high the acoustics are unfortunately extremely noisy...
One time visit is ok and can take it of the "to see...

NITAN COFFEE'S TALE, which opened less than two months ago, focuses on Western cuisine, desserts, coffee, and craft beer.
The entire restaurant is adorned with a glamorous European-style decor, and even the coffee bean aroma containers are meticulously designed (primarily for photo opportunities).
Inside, there are both bar tables and dining areas. The way they serve craft beer is quite unique. You first need to purchase a preloaded beer card at the front counter, and then you can go to the self-serve beer area and pour your own beer. Each type of craft beer has different pricing, and the charging system depends on how much you pour for yourself. For someone like me who appreciates craft beer, it's a great experience. Unlike the awkward feeling of wanting to taste all the craft beers at a regular bar, where I usually only try three types, here you can taste any craft beer you like according to your preference, and you pay only for what you pour. You can take a few sips and pour more of what you like. This experience is truly enjoyable.
I didn't dine here; I only ordered a dessert, the Banoffee Pie. The taste didn't amaze me, but I wasn't expecting too much to begin with. As for my dedication to Western-style desserts, even at the well-known Chocolate Factory in Pattaya, my evaluation is just average because they offer only a single flavor of chocolate. I think it's decent as a food item for Instagram, but for those seeking a more complex taste, I wouldn't visit again. My favorite craft beer here is their stout. It has a smooth, creamy texture and a chocolatey flavor. I believe it's their best craft beer.
This Instagrammable restaurant, currently known only by local Thais, will likely soon become a destination recognized by foreign tourists as well.
