View Mare Beach Front Bar & Restaurant Pattaya — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

The view is really really great, nature does its best and this restaurant is lucky enough to get this place. The food is just barely worth the expensive cost, and the amount of food on every dish is less. If it wasn’t for the nature view, it should’ve been worse. One of the waitress here had bad serving attitude. We ordered a beer and it came out with a strange sour taste, then we asked the waitress to replace it for us. The waitress did not understand much english, and she grown annoyed after we explained a few times. She even stuck to her own thought that she insisted the beer was fine (without any tasting or anything) and insisted us to pay one more time for another beer, and then put both beer at the tray and left us. We didn’t understand how she want with us and the problem was barely solved with the help of the thai people at the other table.

Conclusion:

The food was actually quite good, but the service was extremely disappointing. I called in the afternoon specifically to confirm whether I could pay with an American Express card, and I was clearly told that it would be accepted. They even helped me make a reservation over the phone.

However, when I arrived at the restaurant, they said Amex was not accepted—and worse, they completely denied ever saying otherwise. I felt misled and disrespected. It’s very frustrating to be given incorrect information and then treated as if I was making it up.

Good food alone isn’t enough to make up for poor service and a lack of accountability.

The place is absolutely idyllic with a long superb beach practically without construction. You can eat or simply have a drink on the two open covered terraces, facing the sea. The restaurant menu offers a wide choice of real Thaî cuisine, mostly seafood but not only, each one more tempting than the other. Some Western food available and even a pizza oven (not tested by my own). Wide selection of cocktails and spirits. Only wine by the glass is overpriced as it doesn't seem to be their staple. Staff is nice, relax and friendly. Frequented by both Thais and Westerners . Place and atmosphere go beyond all standarts of what I've seen and experienced in Pattaya.
