This place and restaurant has been opened for over 20 years I must say. It is a family run restaurant. When I went there a few times, the owners were always there to greet and to serve the food. There’s several decor photos of the family with Famous thai people around the restaurants. It is quite neat. Lunch time is normally quiet so it’s a good time to go. The restaurant offer very fresh seafood than most seafood restaurants I have been to in BANGKOK (Somboon’s crabs can’t beat this place!) Classic thai seafood style from crabs to river prawns to fried fish to oysters. My favorite dishes here are the crabs with roe and also the clams. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pen Restaurant, and I must say, it was a seafood lover's paradise! The standout dishes were the steamed crab, fish filet, and fresh oysters.

The steamed crab was simply divine—perfectly cooked and bursting with Thailand seafood sauce with a bit spicy. Each bite was a delightful experience, enhanced.

The fish filet was equally impressive. It was tender and flaky, seasoned to perfection, and served with a zesty lemon sauce that complemented the fish beautifully.

Finally, the big fresh oysters were a highlight of the meal. Served on ice with a variety of mignonette sauces, they were incredibly fresh and briny, making each slurp a refreshing treat.

I came here with my girlfriends. One of them has eaten here since she was a little. It means that the taste has been very good since then till now. After my arrival to the restaurant, I’ve known now why it has been opened for so long effectively because the owner and servants are very caring of customers, well-trained and helpful. I really like and enjoy food especially fish, shrimp and oyster menu. Crab Fried rice was also very good. For a dessert, please don’t miss a mango sticky rice, the taste was good than standard.
