Probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review, but this one is necessary.
We walked into an Indian restaurant that was advertised as also serving Thai dishes. After being seated and ordering drinks, we realised the menu had no Indian food. Only then were we told that their Indian chef wasn’t available—first because he was sick, then because he was on a visa run.
At that point, we should have just finished our drinks and left, but with three kids in tow, we decided to stay. Huge mistake.
The food was disappointing across the board. The spaghetti bolognese, which we didn’t realise was made with chicken, was overly sweet and unappetising. The chicken wings and fries for my youngest were completely bland, with the chicken overcooked to the point of being burnt. (Thankfully, they removed this from the bill) The crab fried with yellow curry was nothing like what we expected—it was deep-fried, dry, and tasteless.
The only redeeming dish was the steamed fish, which was decent. But overall, the poor food quality, lackluster service, and misleading menu made this a dining experience we won’t...
Read moreWow- what a great place to eat. We ate earlier in the week and had some Thai food which was excellent but noted it provided Indian food- both my son and I prefer Indian food to anything else. So we decided later in the week we would have an Indian meal. When we arrived we met Lucky at the restaurant and he took our order. It took a while but we know that this is because EVERYTHING there is freshly cooked. Well worth the wait as the food was exemplary and we have no complaints whatsoever. We have travelled a bit and sampled Indian food in a number of continents- and without any shadow of a doubt Country Delight in Kamala sits up there with the best of them. Hot , fresh and tasty food. What more could we ask for ? All very reasonably priced and served with a smiling face. All in all a great evening experience. Very well done guys - keep it up you deserve the best reviews as you’ve got...
Read moreThis place blew me away! The food was incredible — some of the best Thai and Indian dishes I’ve had in one spot. The chicken tikka was perfectly spiced and tender, the tandoori chicken had that smoky flavor you want, and the prawns were super fresh and flavorful. On the Thai side, the tom yum kung was rich, spicy, and full of depth, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet finish.
The menu is big, with so many interesting dishes I hadn’t seen before — definitely something for everyone. Prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes.
Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location is easy to get to with a nice atmosphere. I’ll absolutely be coming back. A real gem! returned 4 times. Some of the best food throughout my ten days...
