The Swedish Bakery — Restaurant in Kamala

we walked a kilometer to the bakery so we could have breakfast there. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We were only offered one breakfast set. This set does not even include baked goods. In a bakery... The English of the service staff was extremely poor even by Thai standards. Instead of a coffee, I got an espresso first. my wife was asked three times by three people if she wanted her tea with sugar. In general, the service staff acted headless. Very nice but completely chaotic.

In the entire bakery there were 4-6 customers and 5 service staff. So it happened that we had two employees at our table to take our order. This is unpleasant. Anyway, the bakery would have quite potential, as it is nicely and comfortably decorated. It was also the first place where we found a pepper mill ! Unfortunately, the A/C was also broken when...

We had a rather mediocre experience here. The food was overall blend ans kinda strange. Eggs Benny had soggy bread roll, cooked through eggs and the Béarnaise was non exciting. Caprese was 1 kilo of tomato with 5 miniature pieces of mozzarella. With thai basil. Pizza was a thin and soft piece of layer if what i only can assume is a soft shell tortilla. The cinnamon buns were dry as well. Very sad overall. Luckily the staff is friendly an the environment is somewhat pleasing…. If AC would work. Found myself a new breakfast spot here in Kamala - Swedish Bakery in Soi Fantasea (on the left coming from mainroad, about 100 meters after 7/11, house with swedish flag/colored - cannot miss).

Many dishes for breakfast, offering an all day breakfast set, great sweet stuff like cakes or muffins, tasty brezels (try them with butter!). For take away or eat there (they have a restaurant area and two lounge areas, one outside).

For sure not the cheapest shop around here in Kamala but very kind and well English...
