The waitresses were not paying attention to the customers. They were on their cellphones, and were otherwise just talking to each other. There were no napkins at my table, and I had to look for them myself at other tables. I saw people walk up to the waitresses and ask if they’d please bring them a beverage, or their bills. When I paid, I waited for my change. The young waitress came pack, pointed to the money inside, and gesturally asked if she could keep the rest of my money. I took the check folder from her, and gave a smaller tip from my change than what I initially intended to give. Read moreThis is THE place to book a meal on a night when there is the Bridge on the River Kwai show. You get the best possible view (if you jostle or hassle a bit) of the show without hours of queueing for seats in the public viewing area. Tip them for a 'clear view' table. It's totally worth it.
It's expensive on the night - B600 for a set meal which is only just about average fare, plus drinks. I would only give the restaurant 3 stars based on the food.
