E-san Roysoaw Restaurant — Restaurant in Karon

This is truly an authentic Isaan food restaurant. After voicing out my frustration finding a good Thai restaurant in Kata Beach ,he recommended me this restaurant. We came here on the night of 6th October 2023. We ordered gai yang, khao niao, kor moo yang ,spicy pork larb, spicy sour pork soup ,2 khao niao mamuang ,2 cha yen. What a burst of flavour! We ate them all between the two of us. So delicious. If you are after an authentic northern Thai food,this is the place. Don't eat in a restaurant near the beach and resorts,they all have been adapted to foreigners' taste. Be patient when you wait for your orders,you'll be rewarded with delicious meals cooked by 2 lovely ladies. We will surely return to this restaurant the next time we...

Bad customer experience. The first dish arrived over an hour after we ordered, and by 1h20 later, we still had at least a dozen things missing (almost all of our main dishes).

We were a group of 11, so under normal circumstances, we would’ve been understanding. However, they were serving all other tables around us that arrived later, especially the ones with locals.

Even our 2 fruit juices took over 1h to serve. Bottle of water never arrived.

We ended up leaving before receiving most main dishes because of the very slow service, and they seemed indifferent.

Very unfortunate considering the food...

I wish I could recommend this place, but I simply can't. We waited about 90 minutes to receive roughly 25% of our order despite a few follow-ups with the staff. Local guests were served before us (tourists) despite arriving about an hour after us. We ended up paying for whatever we had received after an hour and a half and went to eat somewhere else. It's a bummer since we wanted to encourage a local restaurant but had to fall back on a multinational business to actually eat something.
