A Hidden Gem at Karon Beach – Highly Recommended!
During our trip to Thailand, we struggled to find halal Thai food options, and vegetarian choices were also quite limited. While in Phuket, near Karon Beach, we discovered Cappadocia Turkish Restaurant - Branch 2 which at the time seemed like the only viable option. And we’re so glad we did! This restaurant quickly became a favorite dining spot in Phuket. The food was full of flavour, fresh, and absolutely delicious and the mocktails were soo good!
All the staff were incredibly friendly and lively, and the restaurant had a great Turkish vibe with a team of young, enthusiastic workers. A special shoutout to the two male staff members who stood out for their excellent service. One was named Chit, and although I didn’t catch the other guy's name in yellow, his English was excellent and he was equally friendly and helpful and also offered a free appetiser!
I would highly recommend Cappadocia for both the delicious food and the top-notch service – definitely worth the money! If they call you in on the street, actually go, they have only been opened for a month so give them a visit for dinner or lunch! You will be left with a...
Read moreI am well accustomed to Turkish food, hence my excitement at finding this establishment. Service was ok, very polite and efficient. I ordered my favourite Lamb shish kebab. It was flavoursome but a little dry but the greatest disappointment was the beef gravy sauce which should be a spicy tomato based sauce. The Turkish rice seemed bland even though it looked like it had saffron in it. My wife confirmed her rice was lacking flavour. To be fair I was hungry and apart from the gravy i ate everything. The atmosphere was lacking. It needed faded lights and some decoration on each table. Instead it reminded me of a motorway cafe.. bright overhead lights and clear tables, bright blue walls with hardly anything on them to suggest you might be in a Turkish establishment. Needless to say we will not be returning as Mama Jin is...
Read moreThis place makes the best Turkish food on island so far! This is my third time ordering food here and every time it was delicious. As for falafel, it took me a while to decide on trying it out cause I’ve eaten it in different cafes and restaurants and, unfortunately, they were disgusting. But this falafel is so good! In general, this wrap includes everything I wanted to have in it. I also recommend you to order Urfa kebab (or Adana kebab, if you like spicy) that taste like kebabs in Istanbul😋 P.s. also the stuff and the atmosphere are very very welcoming. The waiters are attentive, the owners are communicative, polite and interesting people☺️ I already became a frequent customer😁 so my next stop is gonna be in the café...
