We relied mostly on Google reviews when we were in Phuket, Thailand to find restaurants to dine in. This one had a 4.8 rating on Google.

✨ chose this place due to its close proximity to our first hotel, Hotel Ikon Phuket. ✨only fans, no AC. This is pretty standard for most restaurants in Phuket. ✨ Green Curry Chicken (150 baht) - first mouthful was spicy, then we were lapping up the sauce after. ✨ Papaya salad (70 baht) - enjoyed this. Not too spicy. ✨ Pad Thai with shrimp (80 baht). ✨ Pineapple fried rice (250 baht) - a very tasty, legit pineapple fried rice. ✨ Mango sticky rice (120 baht) - would have been better if the mangoes were riper/ sweeter but not bad. ✨ smoothie (70 baht) - we had the mango, mango-passion fruit and passion fruit. Refreshing for a hot day! ✨ good first meal in Phuket!

Amazing Thai food!

Some of the best food we had in Thailand yet! Coming to Karon after travelling the North, we were disappointed with the very touristic food here, but Amys Restaurant was a true gem and had some of the best food on our trip! We had the creamy Tom Yum (with plenty prawns) and fried rice. Portion sizes were absolutely fine (since some reviews stated the opposite) and the prices were adequate as well (about 400 baht for two drinks, a tea and our dishes), especially compared to the rip-off prices closer to the beach. Wife and myself have eaten here regularly whilst staying in Karon and never had a bad meal or experience. Sometimes eating both lunch and dinner here on same day. It's a very small restaurant with a few tables so it's not like the big overcrowded ones in the centre.

Very traditional Thai food all well prepared, presented and cooked to order. Prices are very reasonable for the food you get especially when compared to the restaurants in the centre.

Staff are very pleasant, helpful and friendly.
