Ketho Coffee & Kitchen — Restaurant in Kathu

Ketho Coffee offers a pleasant setting; A modern glass box structure set within the gardens of the owners residence.

They are very serious about their coffee here, offering a choice between medium to dark roast beans, and both the owner and his staff are meticulous in their procedure and preparation in producing that cup of coffee. Not only are espresso based drinks available, they also offer filter and drip brew coffees, again with a variety of beans to choose from.

Ketho Coffee also has a full kitchen offering homemade baked desserts, in addition to breakfast options and quick Thai dishes for lunch.

I did not have any food, just a medium roast Americano and latte. The Americano was perfect, the latte was not bad.

All the staff are polite when taking orders, but because they were so meticulous with the coffee, there was some wait time. My take away order was 4th in the que, but as the three other orders in front of mine was for in house customers, they decided to rush my order, but I still had to wait some time.

Modern vibe, friendly atmosphere.

I used to come often for this cafe to work with my laptop.

☕️Hot chocolate (60 THB) - ok, not too sweet.

Although it says on the menu they sell matcha, they don’t. It is actually Thai green tea. Very confusing. Taste not good.

💰Value for price - fairly priced. Drinks are 60-70 THB Cake are mostly around 90 - 95 THB For food the prices are slightly higher.

✨Atmosphere - a lot of nature elements as the there are plants & green around. Depend on which time of the day you come, it can be very quite or very noisy. Chairs are comfortable, but not that much for a long sit. Can find a lot of young people coming from the university around, but also more older & families with kids often.

🧑🏼‍🍳Service - self service, minimal but ok. Staff is polite & speaks well English.

💻Plugs & wifi - available next to some tables, wifi is ok.

🚘Parking - private parking around & near the place.

👍🏽Overall a nice place to work from on the days it isn’t noisy & with kids. Otherwise also nice to meet with friends or just relax and enjoy a drink & a cake. The place is closing...

Coffee has been made professionally like 99.99% every time we’ve been. Food list is not much but covered pretty much everything.

Edited(15/06/23) Food used to have the quality, but this latest time I visited the cafe the charm of the place has been diluted. I ordered a plain croissant; it tasted like an old bread previously refrigerated for a long while. I was disappointed because croissants here used to be fresh and flaky. The breakfast set called the “veggie breakfast” was advertised beside the cashier. I had chosen it (230b) expecting that it would be a nice healthy breakfast set. It looked outstanding by appearance but the taste was uninteresting. The set consisted of a piece of almost rotten avocado, a very thin piece of toast, grilled mushrooms (tasted musty) and cherry tomatoes, stalks of asparagus and fried eggs.
