It's a restaurant with an unique atmosphere. It looks like Tim Burton meets old style apothecary. But that's all. Go to take photos. First of all we (2people) were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered the chicken skin with mashed potatoes and gravy thats served in a cast iron pan. It was so cold we had to send it back. Even the gravy was almost solidified. The server said they will remake it and apologized which was lovely. Our mains came before the appetizer which i completely understand cause we did send it back. ( we both ordered pasta) the portion sizes were smaller than my palm that we were able to finish in 3-4 bites. and again it was so COLD but we didn't wanna complain cause by this time we were quite hungry. My mother got the seafood pasta, squid and shrimps were somehow overcooked yet cold. I ve seen rubber tires that warmer and softer in Bangkok. Halfway through our mains we were hopeful our newly made APPETIZER would show up but nothing. We finished and waited for our APPETIZER but still nothing after awhile. So I decided to get up and walk to kitchen/bar area and I see that our previously cold appetizer was getting destroyed and slurped up by our server and another server ON THE BAR. I work at hospitality industry too and I understand being hungry and free food but I also know there is an etiquette where you take the unwanted food to kitchen and then you can consume, NOT BEHIND THE BAR where a customer can easily see them. Also we are the only people here, I should not have to get up and walk to ask for the bill or even get the attention of our server. For how much we paid it's not justifiable at all. We hoped to end our last night in BKK in a lovely fancy dinner but instead we got cold food with okay server who got full due to our cold appetizer and an expensive bill. If you want WARM food this is not the place. If you want couple more followers on your Instagram then go take some photos and get food...
Read moreAbsolutely gorgeous place. I've never been more impressed.
Food is absolutely yummy both in my stomach and on camera. Service is amazing. From arriving at the door, being seated, table arrangements, place mats, decor, ordering, dining, getting the bill - everything is done tastefully and has been meticulously planned.
Price point, in terms of bangkok pricing, for sure it's not the cheapest. BUT I'd say it's 100% worth your money. (Some pictures of the menu for you)
Here's what we ordered: Granny's slow cooked chicken stew spaghetti - pasta was al dante. Sauce was not surfeiting. I don't particularly remember much about this dish tbh!
Miele pizza - I never would have expected some ingredients (apple, honey, almond) to be on my pizza but this, is the best combination. All the ingredients complemented each other so well.
Rustic Braised pork ribs - fall-off-the-bone tender. It was very well marinated that even the bones absorbed the marination (when sucked on). We polished off everything on the plate.
Plating is amazing. What a feast for both our stomachs and eyes.
I was there with 2 other friends, a total of 3 of us (2 girls & 1 guy). We shared our dishes and the portions were slightly more than sufficient for us.
They are so detailed that they even bring up the bill in a feather dish. Diners also get a fortune feather after. I really appreciate how they have thought out the whole store concept, and each detail is so meticulously structured. Absolutely thoughtful. 🥰
The shopping never stops in Bangkok, there's even a section cut out for their merchandise. Mostly handmade and they sell precious stones.
Highly recommend this...
Read moreMy girlfriend brought me here and their place has a "magical" theme to it, kinda like Harry Potter
It really is a nice place, perfect for friends dinner or a date without being "too fancy"
Their drinks are really creative, we got the peach and lavender drink. I really liked my lavender drink. Each drink costs around 180 thb (around $5). And then we got the Potato Fries With Bacon And Creamy Truffle Sauce which we highly recommend (250 thb/$7.5). The fries were crispy, flavors were good!
For main course, we ordered the smoked duck alfredo pasta (320 thb/$10) and Mortadella and Burrata pizza (480 thb/$14). The smoked duck alfredo pasta was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly (approved by my Italian girlfriend). Mortadella and burrata pizza was also delicious, but they lack burrata. For the price, the burrata was too small. Next time, I would prefer to try the Egg Bacon and Cheese pizza (320 thb/$10) which I think is better value
We also got some takeaway tea for 180 thb each. The vanilla was good, but the rooibos with pomegranate/cranberry lacked flavor
Oh and for dessert we had the coconut cream pie, it was delicious but I think too expensive for the portion (180 thb/$5) so I would prefer if it was bigger or lesser price.
