The dishes offered at Tasty Congee are comfort food - it is simple with few ingredients, which is usually hard to nail. Their Congee does this really well. We ordered Congee with 2 add ons (pork meatballs and beef slices) - this was a great dish, and the table side condiments made it even better.

I didn't enjoy the signature wantun soup or their bbq pork buns. The wantun soup broth was not even umami, just mildly salted, with not much else. The noodles and wantuns were made super well, but I don't think it paired best with this broth. The pork buns were too sweet - the bun's texture was incredible but it was sweet along with the very sweet sauce on the pork filling.

This place standard is getting bad. Went for lunch n ordered Hk bbq duck and they served me a “braised duck” with gravy all over my bbq duck. The captain refused to accept that this was a wrong way of the dish. I had this same dish all the time when I come here n it was presented in so many different ways. And today version was the worse - braised gravy duck. Their porridge is also getting smaller n bland. Only the Hk soya sauce noodle was as good like in Hk . All their prices per dish have increased but sadly the quality has gone down. It is sad that with so many new Hk competition in Bangkok, their standards are dropping but their price is increasing more than their competitors.
