The Beach Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Ko Chang

The restaurant is part of the Hotel KC Grande. Breakfast is served here, and the selection is quite large. We didn't find many other good restaurants on the island, so we also had dinner here. The place boasts 5 stars, the restaurant just can't live up to that!

For improvements, I would suggest the hotel either send the chef on a cooking course and learn a little about European food culture, OR remove EVERYTHING that has to do with European food. For example, a soft-boiled egg is cooked for a little more than a minute, in fact a size 0 egg should be cooked for about 6-6½ minutes, (The water should be boiling before you start) Funnily enough, someone made some beautiful eggs the day the picture was supposed to be taken of the different eggs. I also saw a hard-boiled egg. It wasn't hard-boiled, but stone-boiled until the yolk was completely dark.

Many Europeans love nice freshly baked bread, the bread is better suited as a throwing object for a war. The butter can be stored in the buffet on ice so that it doesn't melt.

A sirloin steak is not a piece of meat that you split and serve half cold with powdered mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce! It can be, for example, served with french fries, potato wedges or a baked potato. The chef should have much better control over how much heat a steak should have. Serve with either whiskey, pepper or red wine sauce.

Likewise, the steak for a burger is not cooked in a microwave, it is cooked on the grill! Change the supplier of the rump or revels leg or make them yourself. The meat should sit loosely on the legs, otherwise they are not ready.

• SOUP: mushroom cream soup with truffle (220 THB): amazing, very good!👌🏼

• THAI SOUP & CURRY: Tom Yum Gung (280 THB): very nice flavours, 2 big shrimps, but in my opinion should be a little more spicy.

• RECOMMENDS: seafood Tom Yum pizza charcoal (350 THB): very good, interesting, you should try. deep fry Koh Chang sun dried squid (350 THB): good.

• THAI SALAD: Thai spicy squid salad🌶️ (220 THB): very good and really very spicy!🔥🌘

• BURGER AND SANDWICH: beef Angus burger (380 THB): not good!👎🏼 Fries were cold and not tasty - you felt unfresh oil. Also...

We had dinner here on three consecutive days. Very much appreciated the (very) wide choice of dishes and drinks. Everything we had was really well prepared, tasty and nicely decorated. The service was friendly and always professional. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights a great band is bringing live music (the singer has a very nice voice and creates a good atmosphere). And during their break you can enjoy a fabulous fire show on the beach (these four young guys are incredible). We saw many people staying at the KC Grande taking their dinner at restaurants nearby - you wonder why, as the best choice is...
