Suwanhong restaraunt — Restaurant in Ko Kaeo

We showed up with a fairly large party so I am taking that into account for sure. But the place was empty so it shouldn’t have been an issue for the most part. Problem is I think there is only one little lady in the kitchen. So getting 15 orders at once can be tricky. But. Any good restaurant can pull it off. I think she made each dish separately until complete. Not much multitasking going on. Food came piece meal by dish type. Our waitress was friendly but had her hands tied by the kitchen. So the service star is more for the kitchen. Because of this we all ate at separate time. Anywhere from 15 min to 60 min apart. Which sucks when you go out as a group. The food itself looked ok. Everyone seemed fine with the taste. But honestly after sitting for 45 min I lost my appetite and cancelled my simple pasta dish. My little one ordered pasta. 8 min at best. Over 60 min. Come on. Maybe as a small local dive managing a couple patrons it’s not a bad place. But for a group stay far away. My 8 yo daughter was last to eat. That’s not acceptable in any way. Never again. Beautiful authentic Thai restaurant in the boat lagoon complex. It's a little farther off from the lane of restaurants, probably the reason why it gets little customers. We chanced upon the restaurant while taking a walk and decided to eat there. Selection of Thai food was quite extensive, and the portion size was very filling. Not to mention, that the food was so tasty. Price is still on the higher end because of location in the upscale neighborhood. The service staff is friendly, and the ambience is relaxing. Loved eating here. Definitely worth a try if you're in the complex. Can ditch the Japanese restaurant in boat lagoon...
