Baan Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Hoho! Not sure why the rating for this place is not at least 4.5 stars but if you are a South East Asian seafoodie who loves the freshest seafood cooked deliciously Thai style, then I couldn't recommend this place more than ever. We had lunch twice at Baan Seafood and both times, the fish, prawns and all other dishes were fresh catch supremely flavoured and well cooked, and mind you fish was steamed while the huge prawns were grilled - chunky and succulent. The tom yam kha is absolutely the best I've tried. Ooh la la, so good and so reasonably priced. A must go...

I’m not sure how this restaurant has the reviews it does. I was really looking forward to trying it and was hugely disappointed. The people and service was great, but the calamari was (so sorry to be blunt) but terrible… I also got the shrimp and they were just OK. I should have looked more closely but this meal ended up being 500+ baht which is the most I’ve spent on dinner yet and I didn’t even eat half of it. Such a shame. I would avoid the calamari and this restaurant in general. Many more better places...

Very good restaurant in Kantiang Bay. Very friendly and extremly good Thai food. Fresh fish, beef or chicken dishes or if you want as well European stuff like burger. Some things for vegetarians you find as well at the menu. I can recommend the panaeng curry and the fish dishes. My wife likes the pumpkin soup and nearly all the beef dishes.

They prepare as well for take away, so you can eat...
