When a place has 4.9 stars and over 100 reviews, it catches your attention. This is not by mistake. This might be the best Indian restaurant in Thailand (and I’ve lived here for 10 years). Every single dish we ordered over the 3 times we ate there was so delicious. Some Indian food has, I don’t know how to say it, but an external flavor—like it just tastes like Indian. While other Indian food has an internal flavor—when each bite you take, you are left saying, “Wow. This is SO good.” And the flavor sits with you a bit longer. This is the type of food you will find here. All the subtle flavors hit you at the core.
Johnny and Soma are so lovely as well. When we went there with our baby, Johnny offered to hold our child so my wife and I could eat together, and we gladly accepted. This is the kind of people they are—warm, gracious, making you feel like family.
I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are staying in the south of Koh Lanta, or you are driving back from the National Park, you are going to be hard-pressed to find a better Indian restaurant in Thailand. Each dish we ordered ended up lasting two meals—one for dinner and the leftovers for lunch the next day. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from Johnny and Soma at K.Himalaya. I highly, highly...

We had the chicken Tikka massala, tandoori chicken, regular and garlic Naan, and samosas. We even got to try one of the potato dishes a regular had ordered and offered us to sample. It was all so, so good. I'm pretty sure everything they make is delicious. The tandoori chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and possibly the best chicken leg I've ever had.
The owner was really friendly, fun, and playful, and it made the meal into more than just food. He invited us to watch him cook the Naan in the tandoori oven, which was great. His subtle and genuine sense of humor was a blast!
If you're staying in the area, eating here should be a priority! There's a reason this place is so well reviewed. You really, really want...

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors in Koh Lanta, this restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm hospitality and inviting ambiance made me feel at home.
The food was exceptional—perfectly spiced, rich in flavor, and cooked to perfection. The Paneer Butter Masala was creamy and delicious, the Garlic Naan was soft yet crispy, and the Egg Curry had just the right level of spice. Even the chai was spot on!
The staff was friendly, accommodating, and happy to customize dishes to suit my preferences. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the portion sizes were generous.
Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Indian food on the island. Highly...
