I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Chill Grill House in Koh Lanta, and it’s one of the best dining spots on the island! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the unique jungle setting, tucked away off the main road in Kantiang Bay. The atmosphere is pure magic surrounded by lush greenery, rubber trees, and the soothing sounds of nature, complemented by chill music that creates a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The cozy setup with hammocks, cushions, and warm lighting makes it the perfect place to unwind. The food is spectacular. Their wood-fired, thin-crust pizzas are some of the best I’ve ever had, with top-quality ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The Thai dishes are equally impressive, authentic, fresh. I highly recommend the chicken with cashew nuts and the tempura cannabis leaf for something unique and delicious. They also cater to dietary needs, offering gluten-free curries and vegan options that don’t compromise on taste. The menu is varied, affordable (meals range from THB 100–490), and every dish we tried was piping hot and beautifully presented. The service is exceptional. The staff, led by the wonderful Oum and Sky, are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your experience memorable. They speak excellent English, happily answer questions about the menu or island tips, and ensure prompt service without ever rushing you. The owners add a special touch is a coffee master, crafting superb espresso, and the other brings flair with occasional fire shows! The drinks menu is equally impressive, with cold beers, great cocktails, and refreshing margaritas at reasonable prices. The jungle setting is clean and well maintained, and the proximity to Kantiang Bay’s stunning beach is a bonus. Whether you’re after a romantic dinner, a fun night with friends, or a solo meal in a serene environment, Chill Grill House delivers on every level. We discovered this oasis in 2019. One of the main reasons to visit Koh Lanta again in 2024 was because of Chill and Grill House. When we were in Lanta in 2019 we came to Chill and Grill every single evening after discovering it. There are no sufficient words to describe how much we love this place. Most important of course is the culinary selection and quality. The quality is divine and you can taste that no artificial flavors are used. The music is perfect. You listen to Pink Floyd but also to Reggae and also to 80‘s. It‘s just very chilled. The bartender Sky is probably the one who is most responsible for providing this feeling we have when we enter this oasis. He is very laid back but quick on his toes. He is very attentive and gives special attention to the little things. The owners Um and Pi Dai and the whole staff like Kif are really extraordinary compared to the typical touristy places you are used to in Thailand. The service and attention you receive is something very special. We really think the owners and the staff of Chill and Grill can teach other restaurants how to run business. We are glad that it’s a hidden spot and exclusive. Of course we would love the place not to be changed. But we are sure that this extraordinary place will grow quickly. Was für ein fantastischer Ort! Das Chill Grill House auf Koh Lanta hat uns während unseres Urlaubs absolut begeistert und war definitiv ein Highlight unserer Reise. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fühlt man sich wie in einer kleinen Oase: Die Dschungelkulisse mit den Gummibäumen, die gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und die entspannte Musik schaffen eine Atmosphäre, die zum Verweilen einlädt. Es ist der perfekte Ort, um dem Trubel zu entfliehen und einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Das Essen war ein Traum! Wir haben sowohl die Pizzen mit super dünnem, knusprigem Teig als auch die thailändischen Gerichte ausprobiert, und alles war von unglaublich hoher Qualität. Besonders die BBQ-Hühnerflügel haben es uns angetan – so lecker, dass wir sie gleich nochmal bestellt haben! Die Zutaten schmecken frisch, und man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird. Auch die Vielfalt der Karte hat uns beeindruckt: Egal, ob man Lust auf etwas Lokales oder Internationales hat, hier wird jeder fündig.

Das Personal verdient ebenfalls ein riesiges Lob. Alle waren unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen gehabt. Selbst als das Restaurant gut besucht war, hatten wir das Gefühl, dass sie sich Zeit für jeden Gast nehmen. Der Service war schnell, und unsere Bestellungen kamen zügig – keine Spur von langen Wartezeiten.

Ich habe vor unserem Besuch einige Bewertungen auf Google durchgesehen und war überrascht, dass es vereinzelt negative Kommentare zu Wartezeiten oder der Qualität gab. Ehrlich gesagt kann ich diese Erfahrungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Unser Besuch war rundum perfekt, und die überwältigende Mehrheit der Bewertungen, die ich gelesen habe, bestätigt diesen Eindruck. Vielleicht hatten ein paar Gäste einfach Pech oder andere Erwartungen, aber für uns war alles top!

Das Chill Grill House ist ein Ort, den wir nicht nur einmal besucht haben, sondern gleich mehrfach, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Es ist die perfekte Mischung aus großartigem Essen, herzlicher Gastfreundschaft und einer Atmosphäre, die einen sofort in Urlaubsstimmung versetzt. Wenn ihr auf Koh Lanta seid, solltet ihr hier unbedingt vorbeischauen – ihr werdet es nicht bereuen! Wir kommen definitiv bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder!
